Humber signed with the Patriots on Wednesday, Kevin Duffy of The Boston Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Humber originally spent time with the Patriots during the 2016 offseason. Since then, the 31-year-old started in 10 games for the Bills in the 2016-17 season, where he racked up 89 tackles. This season for Buffalo, Humber was used primarily as a special teams player before being released on Nov. 10. Now, Humber may be able to provide some experience and stability for New England's special teams unit.

Humber was released by the Bills on Saturday, The Buffalo News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Humber started some games in 2017, but second-year man Matt Milano has passed by him on the depth chart and has evolved his game enough that he's now a clear three-down starter. With the 2-7 Bills looking toward the longer term, they'll swap out a journeyman like Humber so some younger players can get a look on both sides of the ball the rest of the way.

The Bills re-signed Humber to a one-year deal on Tuesday, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Humber has spent the past two seasons in Buffalo, contributing on defense and special teams. Last season the veteran recorded nine starts, the most in a single season so far in his career, but eventually lost his starting role to rookie Matt Milano. Still, Humber managed to record a career-high 89 tackles (60 solo) to go along with one sack, one pass defensed and one forced fumble. Look for him to once again compete for starting role during training camp.

Humber finished his second season with the Bills and his eighth as a pro with 89 tackles, a sack, one pass defensed and one forced fumble.
EDGE Analysis
Humber started the season with a bang, making 37 tackles in his first four games, but suffered a thumb injury, missed some time, and then ended up losing his starting spot to rookie Matt Milano. Since he's never really been looked at as starting material prior to this season with the Bills, there's a decent chance the team will let the unrestricted free agent find employment elsewhere.

Humber, who failed to log a tackle while playing 20 defensive snaps Sunday, has lost his starting outside linebacker spot to rookie Matt Milano, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Humber has had three double-digit tackle games this season, but he misses three games due to minor thumb surgery and hasn't been the same player since returning. Milano, meanwhile, has far outkicked the coverage of his rookie fifth-round status, so the Bills will keep ceding more time to the younger player.

Defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier says Humber continues to be bothered by a thumb injury suffered in Week 4 against Atlanta and caused him to miss three games, Jay Skurski of The Buffalo News reports. "Ramon, you can see that hand is still affecting him a little bit," Frazier said. "He should be better going into the next ballgame because he would have had an entire week of practice under his belt again. He should be a little bit better. But we'll take a look at Matt as well. Matt was very productive for us when he was on the field in the lineup. We'll take a look at it over the course of the week and see what's best."
EDGE Analysis
Humber, who did have 10 tackles in Sunday's bludgeoning at the hands of the Saints, has struggled the past two games while frequently missing tackles. Rookie Matt Milano performed well when Humber was out, so Frazier could start to mix Milano back in a little more until Humber proves as sturdy as he was prior to the injury.

Humber (thumb) is listed as active for Thursday's game against the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Although he turned in limited practices early in the week, Humber will give it a go Thursday. He has been recovering from minor thumb surgery for the past month, but will return against the Jets. The veteran linebacker will presumably return to his starting role barring any setbacks.

Humber (thumb) is listed as questionable for the Bills' Week 9 matchup Thursday with the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
After turning in limited practices Monday and Tuesday, Humber was upgraded to a full participant in Wednesday's session, which likely wasn't an overly strenuous one with the Bills' game one day away. With a month off to recover from a minor thumb surgery, Humber looks as though he's made significant strides on the health front, but it's uncertain if it will be enough for him to receive clearance to play Thursday. Head coach Sean McDermott has previously said that a healthy Humber would take back his starting role at outside linebacker from Matt Milano, who has generally played well as a replacement.

Humber (thumb) practiced on a limited basis for the second straight day Tuesday, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Humber has missed three games after having minor surgery on the thumb, but it looks like the starting outside linebacker is close to a return, possibly as soon as Thursday against the Jets.

Humber, who has missed the last three games following thumb surgery, was able to return to practice on a limited basis Monday, Mike Rodak of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rookie Matt Milano has exceeded everyone's expectations subbing for Humber, but coach Sean McDermott says the job belongs to Humber once he's ready to return. There's an extra hurdle this week in that the Bills play Thursday at the Jets, so Humber only has a few days to prove his readiness.
