Titans released FB Quinn Johnson, waived CB George Baker and LB Jamal Merrell, and waived/injured WR Eric Ward. Johnson started the 2013 season on I.R. before getting an injury settlement and returning to appear in four games for the Titans. Baker spent a couple weeks on the practice squad last season. Merrell and Ward are rookie free agents.

If Johnson does a good job paving the way for Chris Johnson during Hall's absence, he could push him off the roster.

Johnson is a 6-foot-1, 263-pound lead blocker, so his weight is probably a tough thing to control. Especially when he doesn't do anything during a locket-marred offseason. Johnson is on the outside looking in at a roster spot.
