Dawson agreed to a one-year deal with San Francisco, CSN Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dawson turned 41 in January and his range has never been better than average, but he remained a remarkably accurate kicker in 2015, making 24-of-27 attempts. If Chip Kelly sees to an uptempo offense of even modest success in San Francisco, Dawson should have a good number of field goal opportunities in 2016.

Dawson converted all four of his field goal attempts, including the game-winner in Sunday's 19-16 overtime win over the Rams.
EDGE Analysis
This was only the second time Dawson had attempted four field goals this whole season. The 49ers' stagnant offense limited his opportunities to score this season, but Dawson took care of his end and converted 24-of-17 attempts (two were blocked). He will be a free agent this offseason, but proved that he can still get it done even as a 40-year-old. Retirement would be the only reason Dawson isn't kicking for an NFL team next season.

Dawson was good from 40, but missed a 45-yard attempt in Sunday's 32-17 loss to the Lions.
EDGE Analysis
While he is officially 20-for-23 on the year, this was Dawson's first missed field goal that wasn't a result of a block. They 49ers' stagnant offense has limited his field goal attempts this year, and that won't change next week against a stingy St. Louis defense.

Dawson had his only field goal attempt blocked in Sunday's 24-14 loss to the Bengals.
EDGE Analysis
Dawson's only two misses this season have been due to blocked kicks. If he was a kicker for a more potent offense, he would have the potential to be a top-10 option with his accuracy (19-of-19 on unobstructed kicks). Unfortunately he plays for an inconsistent offense and has a low ceiling for fantasy value.

Dawson was good for 44 and converted his only PAT in Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Browns.
EDGE Analysis
Dawson was perfect against his former team, but his fantasy day was limited by the 49ers' inconsistent offense yet again. With a tough matchup against the Bengals on the horizon, Dawson shouldn't be considered a top kicking option for week 15.

Dawson turned in his worse performance of the year, failing to attempt a field goal and missing one of his three extra points in Sunday's overtime win over the Bears.
EDGE Analysis
The PAT was actually blocked, so that is more the fault of Dawson's protection than it is his accuracy. The lack of field goal attempts was also not his doing, as kickers are completely game-flow dependent. The 49ers have a favorable matchup against the Browns and should be able to move the ball down the field, making Dawson a decent play next week.

Dawson hit from both 33 and 53 yards in Sunday's 19-13 loss to Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
In a year of inconsistency from the kicker position, Dawson continues to deliver on a weekly basis. He hasn't been a high-volume scorer (16-of-17 on field goals this year), but he has definitely been a safe option. Soldier Field is never an easy place to kick in, but Dawson has delivered all season, so it is hard to expect anything different in next week's matchup.

Dawson made good on both of his field goal attempts in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks.
EDGE Analysis
Dawson's longest field goal was from 27 yards, so it was just another walk in the park for the 40-year-old. A tough matchup against the Cardinals looms, so Dawson should be considered a low end option for week 12.

Dawson made good on his only field goal attempt (44) Sunday, adding two PATs in the win over Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Dawson hasn't been a high-volume scorer, but he has definitely been a safe option at kicker. His only miss so far this season was a block in week 1. New starter Blaine Gabbert showed that he could move the 49ers' offense better than Colin Kaepernick could, which could result in more attempts for Dawson. That being said, he should be considered a low-end option when the 49ers return from their by and travel to Seattle in week 11.

Dawson set a new season-high with his 54-yard field goal Sunday. He also connected from 26 yards and provided the only scoring the 49ers could muster against the Rams.
EDGE Analysis
Dawson continues to be extremely accurate (91.7 percent) with his field goal attempts, but the 49ers' anemic offense continues to limit his scoring attempts. With only eight PATs converted this season, he is on pace to set a career-low in that category.
