Kruger had 25 tackles (19 solo) and 1.5 sacks in 16 games for the Saints last year. He also had one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
EDGE Analysis
Hoping to catch lightning in a bottle, the Saints signed Kruger -- only two years removed from a 11-sack season in Cleveland -- a few days before the start of the season. While Kruger served as a useful real-life starter opposite Cameron Jordan, the veteran defensive end did little to warrant the attention of fantasy owners. A free agent this offseason, Kruger could still return to New Orleans, though the team will likely look to draft a young pass rusher even if he re-signs. Regardless, with only four total sacks over his last two seasons, Kruger is unlikely to be a contributor to fantasy teams in 2017 no matter where he lands this offseason.

Kruger (back) is active for Sunday's Week 7 game against the Chiefs, BJ Kissel of Chiefs.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Saints had listed Kruger as questionable for the contest while he fought a back issue during practice, but after sitting out last week's game against the Panthers, he'll be cleared to return to action. The 30-year-old, who posted double-digit sacks for the Browns in 2014, has yet to regain his pass-rushing form through four games with the Saints this season, registered a lone half-sack.

The Saints have listed Kruger (back) as questionable for Sunday's matchup with the Chiefs.
EDGE Analysis
Kruger missed his first game of the season in last week's win over the Panthers. He appears to be trending toward a true game-time decision Sunday. Kasim Edbali and Darryl Tapp will presumably see an increased workload if Kruger cannot suit up.

Kruger (back) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Josh Katzenstein of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kruger picked up the back injury in the Saints' Week 4 win over the Chargers, and the bye week apparently didn't provide him with enough time to recover. With Kruger out, the Saints will look to Kasim Edebali and Darryl Tapp to provide some pass rushing from the defensive end spot opposite Cameron Jordan.

Kruger is questionable to return to Sunday's game against San Diego after suffering a back injury, Larry Holder of the Times-Picayune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kruger injured his back in the middle of the second half on Sunday. If he's unable to return look for Kasim Edebali to see some extra reps.

Kruger is expected to sign with the Saints, reports NFL.com.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old Kruger was released by the Browns this week after three seasons. While he had 15.5 sacks his first two seasons in Cleveland, he managed just 2.5 sacks and 27 tackles last season. With head coach Sean Payton admitting that the Saints' pass rush has been less than impressive this preseason, the team clearly hopes that Kruger can add another dynamic playmaker alongside Cameron Jordan. Though he will not be simply handed a starting job, Kruger should see significant snaps for the Saints. If can can recapture some of his 2014 form, when he notched 53 tackles and 11 sacks, he could be an option in deeper IDP leagues.

Kruger was cut by the Browns on Monday, Cleveland.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kruger signed a five-year, $40.5 million contract with the Browns in 2013, but after posting 15.5 sacks through his first two seasons in Cleveland, he managed just 2.5 and 27 tackles last year. The 30-year-old also fell short of expectations during the preseason, so the Browns have opted to provide younger players like Emmanuel Ogbah, Carl Nassib and Joe Schubert bigger opportunities by releasing the veteran Kruger.

Kruger, who had five tackles (three solo) and a sack in Sunday's loss to the Ravens, finished the season with 53 tackles (36 solo), four forced fumbles and a team-leading 11 sacks. Kruger sacked the quarterback more than twice as many times as the team's runner-up, posting the highest total of his career. Though the overall tackle total wasn't much to get excited about, IDP owners have to be pleasantly surprised about his ability to get to the quarterback and nose for the football. The six-year veteran should serve a similar role in 2015.

Kruger had seven tackles (three solo) in Sunday's loss to the Panthers. Kruger's streak of two straight games with a sack came to an end, but he was still able to provide fantasy owners with his highest single-game tackle total of the season.

Kruger had two solo tackles for loss and one sack in Sunday's loss to the Bengals. Kruger has now recorded a sack in back-to-back weeks, and leads the Browns with 10 on the season.
