Lions signed WR Pat Edwards, WR Corey Fuller, WR Carlin Isles, RB Steven Miller, LB Jon Morgan, K John Potter, DT Xavier Proctor, DT Jimmy Saddler-McQueen, K Giorgio Tavecchio, and WR Cody Wilson to reserve/future contracts. Edwards was hyped in the preseason as a potential weapon for the Lions but ended up getting cut less than two months into the season. Fuller was a sixth-round pick of the Lions in April's draft.

Lions signed WR Pat Edwards to their practice squad. Edwards lost his spot on the 53-man roster to Kris Durham and Kevin Ogletree. He posted just five catches for 46 yards through six games despite playing 150 snaps.

Lions waived WR Pat Edwards. Edwards was totally ineffective in four appearances this season, making two starts and managing 46 yards on five catches. The 24-year-old has practice squad eligibility left and figures to resurface there with Detroit.

Pat Edwards was held without a catch in Week 6 against the Browns. Edwards played behind Kris Dunham and Ryan Broyles and was only targeted three times. He was the intended receiver on Matthew Stafford's only interception of the game in the third quarter. Edwards is no higher than the No. 4 receiver on the depth chart and can continue to be ignored in the majority of fantasy leagues.

Pat Edwards (ankle) is listed as probable for Week 5 against Green Bay. With Edwards back, Kris Durham will head back to special teams. Among Lions pass catchers, Ryan Broyles will remain the best fantasy option behind Calvin Johnson and perhaps Brandon Pettigrew.

Lions OC Scott Linehan said he expects WR Pat Edwards (ankle) to play this week. Edwards has practiced in full each day this week. He suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 2 against the Cardinals and sat out Weeks 3 and 4. Edwards will compete with Kris Durham for snaps on the outside opposite Calvin Johnson.

Pat Edwards (ankle) is practicing Wednesday. Edwards sustained a late-week setback ahead of Week 4 and was inactive. That allowed Kris Durham to start outside and catch three passes for 58 yards.

Lions WR Pat Edwards (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Week 4 against the Bears. Edwards must've encountered a bit of a late-week setback. He will probably be replaced by special teamer Kris Durham against Chicago, although Ryan Broyles, Calvin Johnson, and Reggie Bush are going to gobble up most of the targets.

Lions WR Pat Edwards (ankle) got in his second straight limited practice on Thursday. It puts Edwards on track to return after his Week 3 absence, though he shouldn't be expected to pick up Nate Burleson's (arm) slack. Those duties will fall more to Ryan Broyles, who will man Burleson's slot. Edwards isn't on the re-draft radar.

Patrick Edwards (ankle) is practicing Wednesday. The Lions didn't make any wide receiver signings in the wake of Nate Burleson's injury, so it looks like they expect Edwards to be a go. We wouldn't expect any heroics. Burleson was an inside receiver, a role that will be filled by Ryan Broyles, Tony Scheffler and Brandon Pettigrew. Edwards remains an outside receiver opposite Calvin Johnson and shouldn't expect a big bump in targets.
