Houston Texans linebacker Mike Mohamed returned to practice on Wednesday after recovering from a hamstring injury, according to the Houston Chronicle. Mohamed will compete for a starting spot after recording a career-high 68 tackles last season.

Mohamed (calf) had 10 tackles to lead the Texans in Sunday's win over the Titans. Mohamed, a member of the special teams, got some extra playing time on defense due to the absence of starting inside linebacker Brian Cushing (knee).
