Morgan agreed to a contract with the Seahawks on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Morgan, who went undrafted in 2011, has spent the first six seasons of his career with the Seahawks. The USC product originally established himself as a special teams' player before earning a bigger role with the team. He figures to compete for the strongside linebacker role, a job he held for much of last season, as training camp progresses.

Morgan (groin), who was placed on the IR prior to Week 5, returned to practice Monday, Adam Caplan of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Morgan underwent surgery to repair a sports hernia on Oct. 4, and was expected to be sidelined 4-to-6 weeks. A return to practice Monday would appear to be in line with that schedule. He would be eligible for a return from the IR following Week 12. Kevin Pierre-Louis and Cassius Marsh have filled in out outside linebacker while Morgan has been out.

Morgan (groin) was placed on the Seahawks' injured reserve list on Monday, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR reports.
EDGE Analysis
Morgan will reportedly undergo surgery to repair a sports hernia on Tuesday and is expected to be sidelined for 4-6 weeks after that. Thus, he's a candidate to return from IR later on in the season. In the meantime, Cassius Marsh projects to see an uptick in playing time.

Morgan (hip) is questionable for the Seahawks' Week 4 game against the Jets, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR reports.
EDGE Analysis
Morgan was a new additional to the injury report this week, though it's unclear what the nature of his injury is exactly. Cassius Marsh and Kevin Pierre-Louis stand in line to see additional playing time if he's ultimately ruled out.

Morgan won the starting strongside linebacker job for the Seahawks.
EDGE Analysis
Morgan takes over the spot vacated by Bruce Irvin when he signed this offseason with the Raiders. Morgan has been around a while (UFA 2011), but this is his first starting job. He'll likely be used more on running down with a pass rusher brought in on passing downs. He likely won't get enough opportunities for tackles to be consider as an IDP.

Morgan will be available for Thursday's preseason matchup with the Vikings, Liz Mathews of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Morgan saw a specialist for a groin injury earlier in the week, but as expected, it's nothing too serious. He's expected to be available for Thursday's outing with the Vikings, which means he should be over the injury moving forward. Morgan currently projects to take on a starter's role during the upcoming season and he doesn't appear to be in danger of missing Week 1.
