Mitchell (calf) will start at free safety Sunday against Tennessee with Malik Hooker out with a hip injury.
EDGE Analysis
Mitchell was a relevation for a banged up secondary when he signed Oct. 9, but missed last week's game due to a calf injury. It looks like he's healthy and ready to return to a high usage role.

Mitchell (calf) won't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Titans.
EDGE Analysis
Mitchell has been dealing with the calf issue for the last few weeks and was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, but was able to finish the week with no limitations. The veteran safety could be more heavily relied up Sunday with Malik Hooker (hip) set to be a game-time decision.

Mitchell (calf) was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Mike Wells of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mitchell suffered the calf injury Week 8 against Oakland and the bye week apparently didn't provide enough recovery time. Corey Moore should see increased work at safety for the Colts, especially if starter Malik Hooker (hip) is unable to play or is limited Sunday.

Mitchell is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Raiders due to a calf injury, Stephen Holder of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mitchell drew the start at free safety with Malik Hooker (hip) inactive before being forced to exit the Week 8 contest. Corey Moore will slot into the starting lineup, and attempt to contain the Raiders' passing attack led by Derek Carr as long as Mitchell remains sidelined

Mitchell had an interception, seven total tackles, a tackle for a loss and two passes defensed in Sunday's win over Buffalo.
EDGE Analysis
Mitchell started at free safety in his second game with the Colts after signing Oct. 9 and played well in coverage and as a tackler. It looks like he could be a surprise mid-season addition that pays off for a team needing help in the secondary with injuries to Clayton Geathers and Matthias Farley.

Mitchell (pectoral) is active for Sunday's game against the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
After signing with the Colts on Tuesday, Mitchell appeared on the injury report as questionable with the pectoral issue, despite practicing fully Thursday and Friday. As anticipated, the injury won't prevent him from making his team debut in Week 6. The veteran could be thrust into a starting role right away with Clayton Geathers (neck/concussion) ruled out for the contest and Matthias Farley (shoulder) recently moving to injured reserve.

Mitchell is considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets due to a pectoral injury.
EDGE Analysis
Mitchell's apparent pectoral injury did not keep him from logging full participation during practice Thursday and Friday, so he should be good to go Sunday barring any setbacks. He could be in line for significant playing time with strong safeties Clayton Geathers (neck) and Matthias Farley (hamstring) both out.

Mitchell signed with the Colts on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mitchell has been out of the league since he was released by the Steelers in March. He has plenty of experience as a starting safety in the NFL, and given the numerous injuries the Colts are dealing with in their secondary, Mitchell could find himself playing almost immediately in Indianapolis.

Mitchell will be released next week, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mitchell celebrates his 31st birthday in June and carries a $5 million base salary for 2018. The Steelers may try to bring him back at a lower figure, as he's made 60 starts in his four seasons with the team. Mitchell landed between 4.1 and 5.0 tackles per game each of the past five years, highlighted by a 2015 campaign with 80 tackles, three interceptions, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. J.J. Wilcox and Robert Golden would be the top in-house options to replace Mitchell in the starting lineup.

Mitchell, who recorded one tackle (solo) and a fumble recovery in Sunday's win over the Browns, finishes up the 2017 season with 53 tackles (35 solo) and the one fumble recovery in 13 games.
EDGE Analysis
Clinging to a four-point lead late in the game, Mitchell happened to be in the right place at the right time, recovering a Duke Johnson fumble forced by William Gay after a 30-yard catch and run. It was Mitchell's first-and-only turnover this season. He also had his fewest tackle total since 2012 with Oakland and, at 30, is starting to show signs of his age. He still provides a valuable veteran presence on defense, and is under contract until 2019, so he should resume his role in the secondary next season.
