Johnson (concussion) is active for Sunday's game against the Packers.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson is entering a favorable matchup in Green Bay, where left tackle David Bakhtiari, a 2016 Pro Bowler, has been ruled out with a hamstring injury. Therefore, he'll team up with fellow defensive end Carlos Dunlap to isolate rookie Kyle Murphy in an attempt to pressure Aaron Rodgers.

Johnson (concussion) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Packers, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Packers' starting left tackle David Bakhtiari (hamstring) hasn't practiced yet this week, and if he doesn't play, this would be the perfect opportunity for Johnson to pick on Green Bay's reserve linemen. However, if Johnson isn't able to clear concussion protocol by Sunday, expect to see Chris Smith and Jordan Willis in his place again.

EDGE Analysis
Johnson didn't practice all week as he remains under concussion protocol. Both Chris Smith and Jordan Willis should see increased snaps in Johnson's absence.

EDGE Analysis
Johnson's inability to practice Tuesday puts serious doubt into his status for Thursday's game against the Texans. The team will likely provide another update Wednesday, but the defensive end remains in concussion protocol.

EDGE Analysis
Although he was limited at practice throughout the week, the veteran defensive end will participate in Monday's contest. Barring any setbacks, Johnson should see his usual workload at defensive end.

Johnson signed a 4-year, approximately $24 million contract with the Bengals on Sunday. Johnson was released by the Bucs earlier in the offseason after a disappointing 2014 campaign in which he recorded just four sacks and 27 tackles in 14 games. While his deal won't earn him as much as the previous one, he'll still earn a good chunk of change and will rejoin a better defense in Cincinnati.

The Bucs have released Johnson, Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune reports. Johnson, who recorded 27 tackles and four sacks in 14 games this past season, is thus let go by the Bucs after just one season. As a result, the defensive end, who signed a five-year, $43.5 million contract with Tampa Bay last March, will hit free agency again, presumably in line to earn a more modest deal this time around.
