The elbow injury Mario Haggan sustained during the Rams' Week 11 loss to the Jets appears serious. The Post-Dispatch believes Haggan will miss "several weeks if not the remainder of the season." The backup linebacker and special teamer has 10 tackles in seven games this year.

Rams LB Mario Haggan left Sunday's game against the Jets with an elbow injury. Haggan was billed as "questionable" in the first half, but was nowhere to be found after halftime. The reserve linebacker and special teamer will be iffy for Week 12.

Mario Haggan is ticketed for strong-side linebacker and special teams in St. Louis. Haggan will back up Jo-Lonn Dunbar. The Rams targeted both Dunbar and Haggan early in free agency, but decided to hold off on the latter until after the draft.

Rams signed LB Mario Haggan and OT Barry Richardson. Richardson struggled mightily as the Chiefs' right tackle last season, but the Rams are giving him a kick of the tires at a position of severe weakness. He's still only 26. Haggan, 32, appeared in 16 games with Denver in 2011, making one start and focusing on special teams. He was a starter in 2009 and 2010.

Mario Haggan has been moved back to his natural strong-side linebacker spot. The Broncos toyed with the idea of using Haggan as a defensive end, but newly acquired Derrick Harvey is going to be the swing end behind Elvis Dumervil and Robert Ayers. Now Haggan is pegged as first-round rookie Von Miller's backup on the strong side and the No. 3 middle linebacker behind Joe Mays and Nate Irving.

The Broncos are considering moving Mario Haggan from linebacker to defensive end in their new 4-3 defense. Haggan doesn't fit the new scheme as a linebacker, but he looks the part of an end at 6-foot-3, 267, and had five sacks last season. Denver would view him as a nickel rusher behind Robert Ayers and Elvis Dumervil, although Von Miller is also ticketed for that role. Haggan may need a big camp to save his roster spot.
