Tuck has opted to retire from the NFL.
EDGE Analysis
After his 11th professional season ended prematurely due to a torn right pectoral, it's no surprise that Tuck has decided to join teammate Charles Woodson in retirement. In nine years with the Giants, he was a veritable force in a fearsome defensive front, winning Super Bowls in 2007 and 2011. Overall, he'll conclude his career with four double-digit sack campaigns en route to 66.5 in 147 games, during which he also contributed 22 forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries, and three interceptions (one for a touchdown).

The Raiders are expected to place Tuck (torn right pectoral muscle) on IR, CSN Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
With the defensive end slated to have surgery in the next few days, look for Mario Edwards to replace Tuck in the Raiders' starting lineup, beginning with the team's Oct. 25 contest against the Chargers.

Coach Jack Del Rio relayed Wednesday that the MRI on Tuck's injured shoulder is "not good," the Sacramento Bee reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Del Rio would not speculate whether the injury could land Tuck on season-ending injured reserve, at this stage it looks like the defensive end is bound to miss some action.

Tuck (neck) is active for Sunday's matchup against the Browns.
EDGE Analysis
Tuck was able to log full practices both Thursday and Friday, so it's no surprise to see him take the field Sunday afternoon. The 32-year-old has nine combined tackles so far this season, and will look to build on that total in the road matchup.

Tuck (neck) is listed as active Sunday in San Diego, Scott Bair of CSN Bay Area reports. Tuck won't provide much in the tackle department, but with two sacks, one interception, and one forced fumble accrued through eight games, he's a fair bet to aid IDP pursuits.

Tuck (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Browns. With just one sack in five games, Tuck's value is not very high right now, but he'll be available Sunday if you need him.

Tuck (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Browns. Tuck's ability to practice all week, albeit in a limited capacity, suggests a Week 8 return from the knee injury is realistic. The 31-year-old has recorded just one sack in five games, however, after notching 11 in his final year with the Giants.

Tuck (knee) practiced Wednesday, ibabuzz.com reports. More on Tuck's Week 8 status in the coming days, but after missing this past Sunday's game against the Cardinals, the DE's presence on the field Wednesday bodes well for his chances of returning to the mix Sunday against the Browns.

Tuck (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. The Raiders' defense takes a Week 7 hit with the absence of Tuck on Sunday, but to date, his IDP production has been modest; 18 tackles and a sack in five games.
