Free agent CB Justin Tryon (broken arm) is "completely healthy and has been for some time." The Giants have reportedly had "positive" discussions with his player reps on a new contract. Tryon has nickel or dime back potential if the Giants fail to re-sign Terrell Thomas or Aaron Ross.

Giants placed CB Justin Tryon on injured reserve with a broken arm, ending his season. Tryon suffered the injury in the first half of Week 8 and played through it. Just a month after signing with the G-Men, Tryon had emerged as New York's nickel cornerback. Tryon will always be held back by his size (5'9/185), but he's shown quality cover skills as a nickel and dime defender when healthy. He'll likely resurface with a job in 2012.

Giants coach Tom Coughlin revealed Monday that CB Justin Tryon played the second half of Sunday's win with a broken arm. Tryon played 20 snaps, all in sub-packages, and also had two tackles on special teams. While he displayed incredible toughness on Sunday, Tryon will now require surgery. The G-Men are expected to get back Prince Amukamara (foot) in the coming weeks, so they have a natural replacement in order.

Giants signed CB Justin Tryon, formerly of the Colts. Tryon made waves after he was released last week when he suggested that Colts coach Jim Caldwell wasn't calling all of the shots in Indianapolis. He'll add depth at cornerback for the G-Men.

Colts waived CB Justin Tryon. Tryon started six games in 2010, batting down five passes. He'd recently fallen into the coaching staff's doghouse, and was replaced by diminutive Terrence Johnson as the Colts' nickel back. Tryon figures to resurface soon. The 27-year-old was Pro Football Focus' No. 21 overall cornerback in coverage last season.
