The Minnesota Vikings signed cornerback Josh Thomas to a contract Friday, according to the team's official website. Thomas had just two tackles in four games split between the New York Jets and the Seattle Seahawks last year.

Thomas signed with the Jets on Monday, the New York Daily News reports. Thomas' signing comes in wake of fellow cornerback Dee Milliner being ruled out for the season with a torn Achilles. After being cut by the Panthers following this year's preseason, Thomas played three games for the Seahawks before being released by them last week. Nonetheless, Thomas will add depth to a Jets' secondary in need of help.
