The Dolphins and Cameron have been in talks about restructuring the tight end's contract with the team, NFL Network's Rand Getlin reports.
EDGE Analysis
Getlin adds that the potential changes being discussed pertaining to Cameron's salary "will be relatively minor." Either way, it appears as though the tight end will be back with the Dolphins in 2016, on the heels of a 2015 campaign in which he was limited to 35 catches for 386 yards and three TDs in his first year with the team after inking a two-year, $15 million deal with Miami last March.

Cameron is expected to stay in Miami next season, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cameron only had 35 receptions for 386 yards and three scores in his first season in Miami. There was some thought that the team would be better off moving on and saving $9.5 million against the salary cap but head coach Adam Gase came out and stated Wednesday that he has no issues with the veteran tight end and expects Cameron to start for Miami in 2016.

Cameron only had six yards on two receptions in the season finale Sunday
EDGE Analysis
Any way you look at it, Cameron was a bust for Miami this season. Sure Ryan Tannehill was inconsistent, but even when he was playing well (had 350 yards passing Sunday), Cameron just wasn't a big part of the offense. Cameron is signed for the 2016 season as well but the Dolphins may elect to bring in another tight end to either take the starting job away for him or at the very least, compete for it.

Cameron had three receptions for 34 yards in the Dolphins loss to the Colts on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Cameron has been a huge disappointment his first season in south Florida. The Dolphins were hoping he would make up for the loss of Charles Clay but it just hasn't happened. It's not all his fault however as the offense has been about as inconsistent as you can get.

Cameron hauled in his lone target for five yards in Sunday's loss to the Chargers.
EDGE Analysis
Sunday marked Cameron's fourth one-catch game in his last seven contests. The fifth-year tight end earned some intrigue in September, totaling 135 receiving yards in the season's first two weeks, but has failed to top 35 yards in a game since and has found the end zone just twice. As the season comes to a close, Cameron is outside the Top 25 among tight ends in most major receiving categories and shouldn't be considered an option on rosters.

Cameron had three reception for 35 yards in the Monday night loss to the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Anyway you look at it Cameron has just not been productive in his first season with the Dolphins. Sure Ryan Tannehill has been inconsistent but some of the blame has to fall on Cameron as well. He only saw four targets in this contest and is just not a major part of the passing game.

The Dolphins keep stating that they want to get the ball into the hands of Cameron, reports the Miami Herald.
EDGE Analysis
Cameron has been a disappointment in his first season in Miami with 26 receptions, 306 yards, and two touchdowns. More was expected from the tight end but he and Ryan Tannehill just have never seemed to be on the same page. It would seem unlikely that at this stage of the season that would change but perhaps the new offensive coordinator will have better success at getting Cameron more involved in the offense.

Cameron had two receptions for 13 yards in the loss to the Jets on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Cameron has been a disappointment this season. What is even more concerning about this outing is that even though Ryan Tannehill dropped back to pass 58 times, he only targeted Cameron a mere three times. He just doesn't seem to have the trust of Tannehill.

Cameron has two receptions for 21 yards and a touchdown in the loss to Dallas on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Cameron has not had a very good first season in Miami. He's been dinged up and hasn't gotten in sync with QB Ryan Tannehill and may not be big time player the Dolphins thought they were getting when they signed him as a free agent.

Cameron (hamstring) had one catch on three targets for five yards Sunday against the Eagles.
EDGE Analysis
Quarterback Ryan Tannehill continues to focus more on his wideouts than his tight ends, as Rishard Matthews, Jarvis Landry and Kenny Stills were all targeted more than Cameron, who has failed to reach 35 receiving yards since Week 2, including 11 yards in his last two games combined.
