Jaguars signed S Joe Lefeged to a reserve/future contract. Lefeged is now going by the name "Joe Young." He appeared in all 32 games for the Colts from 2011-2012 as a special teams player and part-time defensive back before being cut after four games in 2013. Young was popped on gun charges back in June.

Colts waived S Joe Lefeged. A part-time defensive back and special teamer, Lefeged had appeared in every game since the beginning of the 2011 season, but had played just 19 snaps on defense this year. He was last in the news after he was arrested on gun charges in June. Lefeged's experience could earn him a look or two on waivers.

Rookie S Joe Lefeged is the front-runner for the Colts' kickoff return job. Undrafted out of Rutgers, Lefeged has also been rock solid as a reserve safety. He's averaged 25.8 yards on four returns, maintaining an edge over WR David Gilreath (20.0) and RB Chad Spann (16.8). Gilreath appears to have punt-return duties locked up.
