Webb rushed three times for 27 yards and threw an incomplete pass in Buffalo's loss to New England on Sunday as the Bills sprinkled in some wildcat looks into their struggling offense.

The pass surprised the Patriots and if Webb didn't overthrow Travaris Cadet it would have been one of the more creative touchdowns of the weekend. While it's pretty impossible to use Webb to gain a fantasy edge, the development could at least open up the Buffalo offense a bit if the Bills start using the wildcat look until someone shuts it down. The Patriots, who have been fantastic defensively lately, had a tough time with it.

Webb completed seven of 14 passes for 128 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in Wednesday's preseason opener against the Texans. He also rushed three times for 21 yards.

The Panthers' third-stringer tossed a 50-yard touchdown during the second quarter, then followed that with an eight-yard score after halftime. Although Webb also threw a pick, he'll still be fairly pleased by his performance.

Webb completed all five of his pass attempts for 60 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's preseason game against the Titans.

Although Cam Newton and Derek Anderson are locked in as the No. 1 and 2 signal-calkers, Webb should find his way onto the final roster for a third straight season, as he's the league's only third-string quarterback who also has a key role on special teams. However, his two-year contract is right around the veteran's minimum, which suggests he isn't quite a lock to make the team.
