It appears no further opportunities to appear at the NFL in 2017 will be in store for Langford, at least until he's released on an injury settlement. The nature and extent of Langford's injury -- which he sustained in a special teams drill at Wednesday's practice, per Zrebiec -- aren't certain, but the Ravens will replace him on the practice squad with another running back in John Crockett.

Langford had five carries for 11 yards and one catch for one yard in Thursday's preseason finale against Cleveland.

Rookie fourth-round pick Tarik Cohen was held out, which seemingly confirms that he locked up the No. 2 spot on the depth chart with his outstanding performance the first three weeks of the preseason. Langford might be kept around as the No. 3 or 4 running back, but he doesn't figure to have a significant role in the Week 1 offense.

Langford rushed five time for 18 yards while adding two receptions for an additional 19 yards in Sunday's win over the Titans.

Langford made his first appearance in the second quarter with the starting offense. He gained the majority of his yardage on four consecutive plays in the third quarter, and those touches were against the Titans' starting defense. He's competing for an opportunity to be Jordan Howard's backup with Tarik Cohen and Bennie Cunningham, and his performance in this contest did nothing to hurt his chances.
