The Panthers declined to pick up Wright's 2020 option, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright signed a three-year deal with the Panthers in March of 2018, but he'll become a free agent March 16, saving the team $6 million against the salary cap. The 30-year-old slot receiver produced sparingly in 2019, as he never generated more than 60 receiving yards in a game and finished with 28 catches for 296 yards and no touchdowns.

Wright, who caught two passes for 10 yards in Sunday's 42-10 loss to the Saints, finishes up the 2019 campaign with 28 receptions (on 58 targets) for 296 yards in 16 games played.
EDGE Analysis
Wright mostly served as Carolina's third receiver, but with tailback Christian McCaffrey and tight end Greg Olsen also demanding regular looks ahead of him, the veteran wideout only saw a few spare targets on a weekly basis. In fact, Wright managed more than two catches just three times this season and topped 40 yards just once. In hauling in under half of the attempts his way and not finding the end zone at all, the 30-year-old was hardly a meaningful fantasy commodity, and with the Panthers holding a team option for the 2020 season of his contract, it remains to be seen whether he'll be back next year.

Wright caught one of five targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 38-6 loss to the Colts.
EDGE Analysis
Wright trailed only Christian McCaffrey for Carolina's team lead in targets, but once again could only put together a one-reception outing. Although that kind of performance has been the norm for him this season, if D.J. Moore (concussion) is unavailable Week 17 versus the Saints, then Wright could gain a little extra value to close the campaign.

Wright caught one of four targets for nine yards in Sunday's 30-24 loss to the Seahawks.
EDGE Analysis
Wright broke his brief multi-catch streak as Carolina welcomed fellow wideout Chris Hogan back into the fold. That being said, it's not like Wright, who's caught only one pass in seven of 14 outings this season, endured a drastic drop in production Sunday. He'll remain a depth option for spare targets to close out the season.

Wright caught four of five targets for 30 yards in Sunday's 40-20 loss to the Falcons.
EDGE Analysis
Wright trailed only Christian McCaffrey and Ian Thomas in catches for the Panthers, and he's now posted back-to-back games with at least three grabs for the first time this season.

Wright caught three of five targets for 34 yards in Sunday's 29-21 loss to the Redskins.
EDGE Analysis
Wright put together one of his better statistical performances of the season, hauling in more than two passes for just the second time while topping 30 yards for the first time since Week 4. Although his overall production was still pretty modest, Wright is at least trending upward ahead of Week 14's matchup versus the Falcons.

Wright caught his only target for four yards in Sunday's 34-31 loss to the Saints.
EDGE Analysis
Wright also drew a significant defensive pass interference call late on, but otherwise turned in his usual minimal production -- he hasn't caught more than two passes in a game since Week 4.

Wright caught one of two targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 29-3 loss to the Falcons.
EDGE Analysis
Wright put together another one of his usual outings, as he's caught more than two passes just once this season. That trend continued Sunday despite the Panthers passing for 325 yards, evidencing the veteran's restricted upside.

Wright caught one of two targets for 21 yards in Sunday's 24-16 loss to the Packers.
EDGE Analysis
Wright has been a low-end model of consistency, as he's now finished with either one or two catches in seven of nine outings this season. While Sunday's performance was certainly an improvement on his goose egg in Week 9, Wright's 171 yards and zero touchdowns so far really restrict his fantasy value.

Wright failed to catch any of his four targets and also lost seven yards on a rushing attempt in Sunday's 30-20 win over the Titans.
EDGE Analysis
Wright's day got off to a rough start, as he was stopped for a considerable loss on a rare rushing attempt, before tipping a pass that was then intercepted on the very next play of Carolina's second offensive series. The veteran also had a diving, 19-yard reception overturned in the second quarter, furthering his frustrations. Although he usually only has a catch or two, Wright will still look for marked improvement in Week 10 versus the Packers.
