Crowder is re-signing with the Commanders for one season, Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Crowder spent his first four season in Washington (2015-18) and made his way back to the Commanders last fall. He had one big game in a Week 8 loss to the Eagles but mostly served as a return specialist and depth receiver. Crowder turns 31 in August and may not have a guaranteed roster spot heading into training camp this summer.

Crowder finished the 2024 season with 16 catches for 159 yards and a touchdown on 20 targets and 35 punt returns for 278 yards.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old slot receiver rejoined his original NFL team (2015 fourth-round pick) after a three-year stint with the Jets (2019-21) and four games with the Bills in 2022. He ended up playing all 17 games, mostly working as a punt returner but also coming up with a 7-95-1 receiving line Oct. 29 against the Eagles when injuries thrust him into the lineup on offense. Crowder drew six targets the following week and then only five more the rest of the season. He's scheduled for unrestricted free agency again this offseason, with punt returns and a backup slot role representing his best path to sticking around in the NFL for another year or three.

Crowder went without a target while playing five of the Commanders' 55 snaps on offense in Sunday's 45-15 loss to the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
Crowder had logged double-digit snaps in four of the Commanders' previous five games while producing a 13-130-1 receiving line on 16 targets, but he dropped to sixth in the pecking order at receiver Sunday with all of Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson, Curtis Samuel, Byron Pringle and Dyami Brown seeing more playing time. Though the Commanders could look to work Crowder in more at the expense of either Pringle or Brown coming out of their Week 14 bye, McLaurin, Dotson and Samuel are locked in as Washington's clear top three wideouts when healthy.

Crowder caught both of his targets for 12 yards in a 31-19 loss to the Giants on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Crowder, Dyami Brown and Byron Pringle each played 25-to-30 percent of snaps, splitting the No. 3 receiver role after Curtis Samuel was ejected for his role in a fight. Crowder had a 7-95-1 receiving line Week 8 against the Eagles but otherwise has just eight catches for 56 yards all year.

Crowder was held without a catch on one target in Sunday's 29-26 loss at Seattle.
EDGE Analysis
Curtis Samuel's return from a foot injury dropped Crowder to 10 percent snap share and meant his main role was returning punts. It'll likely be a similar story Week 11 against the Giants, and there's not much upside for Crowder even if Samuel misses more time down the road, given that Dyami Brown also helped fill the gap during Samuel's recent absence.

Crowder caught four of six targets for 23 yards in a 20-17 win over the Patriots on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Crowder was unable to match his unexpected outburst (7-95-1) from the week prior, though he did play more snaps (47 percent) with Curtis Samuel inactive due to a foot injury. Dyami Brown and Byron Pringle also helped to fill Samuel's shoes, and that may be the case again Week 10 at Seattle if Samuel misses another game.

Crowder secured all seven of his targets for 95 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 38-31 loss to the Eagles.
EDGE Analysis
Crowder played 23 of the Commanders' 72 offensive snaps Sunday after playing nine offensive snaps through the first seven games of the season. The veteran wideout had his best game of the 2023 campaign by far, finding the end zone for the first time and recording season-highs in catches and yards. Despite the solid performance, Crowder remains difficult to trust for consistent fantasy production based on his minimal offensive usage to start the season. Nonetheless, the ninth-year receiver will look to earn more playing time when the Commanders visit the Patriots in Week 9.

Crowder played all three of his snaps on special teams in Sunday's 24-16 win over Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
After recording his first two catches of the season in the Commanders' Week 5 loss to the Bears, Crowder was phased out on offense Sunday while all of Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson, Curtis Samuel, Dyami Brown and Byron Pringle played ahead of him at receiver. Crowder should continue to dress on most game days due to his duties as the Commanders' top punt returner.

The Commanders plan to sign Crowder to their active roster, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Crowder just joined the Commanders' practice squad Wednesday, but with Dax Milne (groin) unable to play Sunday against the Cardinals, the veteran receiver was elevated to the active roster Saturday. He never saw the field on offense, but he did handle punt return duties, gaining 10 yards on three attempts. Now that he's in line to join the 53-man roster, he should maintain that role Sunday against the Broncos.

Crowder was elevated from the Commanders' practice squad Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran wideout is expected to return punts Sunday, with Dax Milne (groin) on injured reserve. Crowder played in just four games with the Bills last season and bounced around a few practice squads before joining the Commanders after preseason cutdowns.
