Lions released OG Jake Scott. 32 years old, Scott was beaten out for a job by Leroy Harris behind Larry Warford and Rob Sims. Scott will get some interest elsewhere, although he is an aging journeyman and won't be viewed as more than an interior backup.

Free agent OG Jake Scott visited the Jets on Thursday. The Jets have holes at both guard spots, and Scott would be a cheap and experienced signing. He went unsigned for over half of 2012, however, and was not effective for the Eagles when he did take the field. Ideally, he wouldn't be signed to start in New York.

The Eagles are sticking with Jake Scott as their starting right guard. Even though 2011 first-round pick Danny Watkins is healthy, Scott has earned the gig. Over the last two games, the Eagles' offensive line has gone from one widely panned as one of the worst in the league to a plus unit. They've given up a total of two sacks and opened up gaping holes as Bryce Brown has rushed 347 yards and four touchdowns during that span. Scott, who was signed to a one-year deal off the street by the Eagles a month ago, will garner interest on the open market this offseason.

Eagles signed OG Jake Scott and waived OL Julian Vandervelde. Scott, an eight-year veteran, spent the previous four seasons with the Titans. He garnered plenty of interest on the open market in the offseason but was reportedly not willing to accept the veteran's minimum. Scott graded out as a top-10 guard in 2011, according to Pro Football Focus.

Free agent OG Jake Scott visited the Dolphins on Saturday. Scott graded out as one of the top pass-blocking guards by Pro Football Focus, and has started 124 consecutive games in four years with the Titans. He would provide an immediate upgrade over 2011 starter Richie Incognito in Miami. His only other known visit this offseason was with the Cardinals.

Free agent OG Jake Scott will reportedly visit the Cardinals on Wednesday. Scott was the one interior lineman in Tennessee to hold his own last season, grading out as a top-six pass-blocking guard, according to Pro Football Focus. Even if the Cardinals don't land Peyton Manning, they need to keep the quarterback clean in 2012.

The player rep for free agent RG Jake Scott insists the Titans would "love to have him back" depending on how his market deveolops. This, despite the fact that the Titans elected not to make Scott an offer ahead of free agency and "haven't asked" Scott for a proposal. Unless the Titans completely whiff on upgrading their interior line, Scott will not be back in 2012.

The Titans have had no contract talks with free agent RG Jake Scott. It's been clear for some time that jettisoning the 31-year-old Scott will be part of the Titans' overhaul on the interior of the offensive line. If the Titans are serious about the upgrade, they will clean house at right guard and center as well.

Coach Mike Munchak suggested the Titans will not use their first-round pick on an offensive lineman this year. They're purely looking for interior prospects after LG Leroy Harris, free agent RG Jake Scott, and C Eugene Amano comprised the least effective trio in the NFL last season. Scott won't be back in 2012, and the Titans may look to upgrade at the other two spots. Wisconsin C Peter Konz, Stanford OG David DeCastro, and Georgia G/T Cordy Glenn are the top interior prospects.
