Richardson's suspension for conduct detrimental to the team voids the guarantee for his $3.184 million base salary in 2015, Joel Corry of the National Football Post reports. Richardson was suspended for the Colts' final playoff game, and he'll be suspended for Week 1 of the 2015 season, if he's still on the Indianapolis roster. It's pretty clear that he won't be on the roster, so the real issue is whether the Colts will have to eat the $3.184 million in dead money. This has been a rather unusual sequence of events, and Richardson will almost certainly file a grievance.

I was desperate for a running back while drafting my fantasy team during Richardson's rookie season. I traded the sixth overall pick and A.J. Green to move up to the first pick to take him (in a keeper league). The jury is still out on who got the better of that deal.
