Former Eagles and Patriots CB Ellis Hobbs is "adjusting to life after football."
Hobbs has never officially announced his retirement, but he didn't play at all in 2011. Neck injuries and a series of concussions forced Hobbs to walk away from the game late in the 2010 season. He admits that long-term risks associated with concussions and brain injuries "frighten" him, especially in light of Junior Seau's suicide.

Free agent CB Ellis Hobbs reiterated that he has not decided to retire from the NFL due to serious neck injuries.
"(I'm) waiting on doctor reviews to let me know if I can or can't play," said Hobbs. "If a doctor can come back to me and tell me, 'You have no more harm or danger then the next guy of getting hurt,' then I'm totally back in the game." Hobbs still has doubts, however, that any team's doctor will greenlight the risk if he's not 100 percent.
