Former Ravens CB Domonique Foxworth, the new NFLPA President, conceded that he plans to retire from football. "I think that I've probably made the decision that I'm going to move forward and stop playing football," said Foxworth, who's only 29 but recently had hip surgery in addition to a chronically bad knee. Foxworth finishes his career with eight interceptions and 44 starts among 78 appearances. He played all over the secondary in his career, starting at both safety and corner.

Former Ravens CB Domonique Foxworth has been elected as the new NFLPA President. Foxworth replaces Kevin Mawae and beat out Jeff Saturday, among others, for the gig. Just 29 years old, Foxworth was released by the Ravens earlier this month after persistent knee troubles held him to only two games over the last two seasons. Profootballtalk.com passes along "widespread belief in league circles" that Foxworth's NFL career is over.

Ravens released CB Domonique Foxworth. The move terminates Foxworth's remaining $5.6 million base salary, which will come directly off Baltimore's cap. They can make a play for restricted free agent WR Mike Wallace if they really want. Foxworth's NFL career may be over at age 29 due to persistent knee troubles. He was a 16-game starter for the Ravens in 2009, but has made it into just two games ever since.

Ravens CB Domonique Foxworth is scheduled to meet with GM Ozzie Newsome next week to discuss his status with the team. ''I have a meeting with Foxworth when I get back next Thursday,'' Newsome said. ''I don't know what his intentions are.'' Foxworth, 28, is rumored to be seeking an injury settlement from the Ravens after undergoing knee surgery that could prohibit him from playing in the NFL. Set to earn $5.6 million next season, his time in Baltimore is likely over.

Ravens CB Domonique Foxworth was noncommittal when asked if his balky knee would keep him from playing another NFL game. "That's a tough question," said Foxworth. "I feel like I probably shouldn't talk about anything in depth until I talk to the team." Foxworth won't see his $5.6 million salary for 2012, but it sounds like he could be angling for an injury settlement.

CB Domonique Foxworth is unsure if he'll be back with the Ravens in 2012. Due $5.6 million after a knee injury limited him to just two games the past two seasons, Foxworth will have to be amenable to a massive pay-cut to have any chance of staying in Baltimore. With Lardarius Webb having a breakout year in 2011 and rookie Jimmy Smith coming on late, Foxworth will likely be moving on.

Ravens placed CB Domonique Foxworth (knee) on injured reserve, ending his season. Foxworth has been a liability in the secondary, confirming that he still isn't over his ACL surgery. Considering it's been about 14 months since his procedure, it would make sense if further complications are later revealed. Foxworth is due $5.6 million in base salary next season, meaning his time in Baltimore is likely over.

Ravens CB Domonique Foxworth was deactivated in Week 3 as he continues to fight through pain in his surgically repaired right knee. "It hurts like hell," said Foxworth, who also admitted he's been hurting the team when in the lineup. "So I'm just going to keep working and try to get back." Foxworth is carrying a $4.4 million salary. It was surprising the Ravens kept him on the roster in the first place after he suffered setbacks in camp.

Coach John Harbaugh acknowledges that CB Domonique Foxworth is playing "very, very conservatively" and may have to be rested while his surgically repaired knee gets back up to full speed. "It hurts," Foxworth said. "It sucks. I had a lot of pain during camp. It's still hurting. This is where we are." Foxworth has been a liability in coverage, getting smoked by Kenny Britt last week. If Chris Carr (hamstring) returns for this week's game, Foxworth will spend the afternoon on the bench.

Ravens CB Domonique Foxworth (ACL surgery) doesn't appear to have his recovery speed back. It's been about 13 months since Foxworth tore his ACL. He got burned repeatedly in Thursday's preseason game, highlighting the Ravens' need to rookie Jimmy Smith to acclimate quickly.
