McCluster will be placed on the non-football injury list after fracturing his forearm in a household accident and will be out for the remainder of the season, Michael Gehlken of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Chargers have been absolutely marred by injuries this season, and McCluster's accident, which involved the movement of luggage, describes their misfortune in a nutshell. McCluster was signed after the loss of Danny Woodhead for the year, and with the former now done for the year, Melvin Gordon, Kenneth Farrow and Derek Watt are the only healthy running backs on San Diego's roster. It remains to be seen who will take over kick and punt return duties for the Chargers, though Travis Benjamin seems like a leading candidate.

McCluster recorded one carry for a one yard loss, and did not catch either of his two targets.
EDGE Analysis
Since joining the Chargers near the end of September, McCluster has failed to fill the role that Danny Woodhead (knee) vacated thanks to season-ending injury, recording 35 total yards in five games. So long as Melvin Gordon continues to perform well, McCluster isn't expected to see enough time on the field to warrant any fantasy value.

McCluster caught two passes for 15 yards in the win over the Broncos Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
McCluster played just nine offensive snaps Thursday and has yet to exceed more than 16 percent of the offensive snaps in a given game during his time with the Chargers according to Pro Football Reference. Even when Melvin Gordon briefly went down with an injury early in the third quarter, the Chargers opted to use undrafted rookie Kenneth Farrow instead. McCluster still holds limited value in PPR leagues, but even then should only be rostered in deeper leagues.

McCluster (hamstring) is active for Thursday's game against the Broncos.
EDGE Analysis
With Melvin Gordon turning into a workhorse following Danny Woodhead's season-ending ACL tear, McCluster has been contained to return duties, despite his track record as a competent pass-catcher. Expect the status quo to rein for the foreseeable future.

McCluster (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Broncos, Michael Gehlken of the San Diego-Union Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Though McCluster could in time factor in as a pass-catching threat out of the San Diego backfield with Danny Woodhead not available, thus far he's done more as a returner than as a running back over his first three games as a Charger.

McCluster was limited at Tuesday's practice due to a hamstring injury, Eric D. Williams of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Outside of eight kickoff returns and two punt returns, McCluster hasn't made much of an impact in the box score, totaling two carries for three yards and four receptions for 18 yards in three games as a Charger. With a hamstring issue in tow, his reps could dwindle further this Thursday against the Broncos, but Wednesday's injury report will shed light on his potential Week 6 availability.

McCluster picked up one carry for a single yard in Sunday's loss to the Raiders.
EDGE Analysis
For a third straight week, McCluster rarely factored in on offense as Melvin Gordon once again saw a large bulk of the load. It looks increasingly likely that McCluster may struggle to find his niche with the Chargers, thus limiting his fantasy value. He could still become a factor in PPR leagues later in the season, but for now should only be rostered in deeper leagues.

McCluster carried the ball one time for two yards and recorded two catches for nine yards in the loss to the Saints Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old running back failed to put up any note-worthy stats for the second straight week. While McCluster was targeted three times, that paled in comparison to Melvin Gordon's seven targets, as the starting running back took the lion's share of snaps in Sunday's contest. McCluster still figures to see more time on the field as he gets accilimated to the offense, but Gordon's production likely limits McCluster's value to PPR formats for now.

McCluster snagged two catches for nine yards in Sunday's loss to the Colts.
EDGE Analysis
It made sense that the Chargers would ease McCluster into their offense, as the diminutive receiving threat had signed with the team only days earlier. While the three targets were certainly a good sign for fantasy owners given McCluster's low offensive snap count (nine total), starting RB Melvin Gordon blew those numbers out of the water, recording a season-high seven targets in the loss. McCluster certainly figures to factor in more offensively in the coming weeks, but if Gordon continues to impress there might not be enough opportunities for both RBs to produce fantasy-friendly numbers.

McCluster is expected to fill in as the pass-catching threat out of the backfield with Danny Woodhead (knee) out for the season, Michael Gehlken of the San Diego-Union Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
This doesn't come as much of a surprise, given McCluster's versatility as both a running back and wide receiver. Considering current Chargers offensive coordinator, Ken Whisenhunt, was McCluster's head coach during his tenure with the Titans, it makes sense that McCluster "pretty much has the offense down" and will likely have an impact as early as Week 3. During his two years with the Titans, McCluster never recorded more than 30 receptions in a year, but that number could be on the rise if he's able to build a rapport with quarterback Philip Rivers quickly.
