The Saints are slated to restructure Carr's contract for salary cap purposes, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Per the report, the looming move -- which entails converting a portion of Carr's base salary for 2024 into a signing bonus -- is expected to garner the team in the neighborhood of $23 million in terms of cap relief. In his first campaign with the Saints, the veteran QB -- who remains under contract through the 2026 season -- logged 17 starts while throwing for 3,878 yards and compiling a 25:8 TD:INT ratio. Though Carr is set to reprise his starting role in 2024, the composition of New Orleans' wideout corps this coming season has yet to be solidified, with Katherine Terrell of ESPN having previously suggested that Michael Thomas could potentially be released this offseason.

Carr completed 22 of 28 passes for 264 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions in the Saints' 48-17 win over the Falcons on Sunday. He also rushed once for six yards and committed a fumble recovered by New Orleans.
EDGE Analysis
Carr saved what may have been his sharpest all-around performance his first Saints season for last, tossing a season-high four touchdown passes while completing a season-best 78.5 percent of his throws in the process. The veteran signal-caller's touchdowns went to A.T. Perry (18, six yards), Chris Olave (26 yards) and Rashid Shaheed (39 yards), and he'll wrap up the regular season with a sparkling 14:2 TD:INT over his last five contests. The Saints need both the Packers and the Seahawks to lose their respective late-window games Sunday in order to still qualify for the postseason.

Carr completed 24 of 32 passes for 197 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions and added three carries for minus-3 yards in the Saints' 23-13 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Carr was impressively efficient in a game the Saint surprisingly controlled for the most part. The veteran signal-caller focused heavily on Juwan Johnson, connecting with him on eight occasions for 90 yards while sending a team-high 12 passes his way. Both of Carr's touchdown passes also went to his tight ends, hitting Johnson and Taysom Hill from four and 22 yards out, respectively. Carr now has multiple scoring tosses in four straight games heading into a key Week 18 home matchup against the Falcons.

Carr completed 27 of 40 passes for 319 yards with three touchdowns and one interception and added two carries for two yards in the Saints' 30-22 loss to the Rams on Thursday night. He also threw for a two-point conversion.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran signal-caller had struggled most of his first Saints season in terms of establishing consistency and pushing the ball downfield, but he was able to reverse those trends Thursday, albeit in defeat. Carr's night progressively improved as it unfolded, and he capped off his standout performance with five- and 35-yard touchdown tosses to Juwan Johnson and A.T. Perry, respectively, in the fourth quarter. He also hit Rashid Shaheed from 45 yards out late in the first half for his first scoring pass of the night, marking his second straight three-touchdown tally. Carr's 300-yard effort was his sixth of the campaign overall and a particularly welcome sight for fantasy managers in their playoff contests after he'd topped out at 226 yards in five of his previous six games. The 10-year veteran will aim to carry over the momentum into a Week 17 road division clash with the Buccaneers on New Year's Eve.

Carr completed 23 of 28 passes for 218 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 24-6 win over the Giants. He also had minus-4 rushing yards on three attempts.
EDGE Analysis
With Chris Olave (ankle) inactive and Michael Thomas (knee) still on injured reserve, Carr had to rely on some unheralded receiving options. Carr connected with Keith Kirkwood for a seven-yard touchdown in the first quarter before adding touchdown passes of 23 yards and one yard to tight ends Juwan Johnson and Jimmy Graham, respectively, in the second half. The three touchdown passes marked a new high for Carr in a Saints uniform. The 32-year-old quarterback will bring a 16:7 TD:INT into Thursday's road game against the Rams, though his ceiling will be capped if the Saints remain shorthanded in the receiving corps.

Carr (rib/shoulder) wasn't listed on the Saints' Week 15 injury report Wednesday, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
EDGE Analysis
As predicted by head coach Dennis Allen earlier Wednesday, Carr avoided the first practice report of the week, the first time he's done so since suffering a concussion in addition to rib and right shoulder issues Week 10 at Minnesota. In the meantime, he's cleared the protocol for head injuries two times ahead of New Orleans' last three contests, and he even told Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com after this past Sunday's win versus the Panthers that he's "up to" three rib fractures at this point in the campaign. No matter, the health concerns won't affect Carr's practice reps as the team prepares for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Head coach Dennis Allen said Wednesday that Carr (rib/shoulder) likely won't be included on the Saints' Week 15 injury report, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carr has entered and completed the concussion protocol on two occasions ahead of New Orleans' last three games, and he's also tended to rib and right shoulder concerns during that stretch. He relayed after this past Sunday's win against the Panthers that he was "up to" three rib fractures at this point in the season, according to Terrell. Having said that, Carr may avoid being listed on this week's practice report entirely, which will become known when the team posts its first version later Wednesday.

Carr (rib/shoulder) completed 18 of 26 passes for 119 yards, two touchdowns and one interception during Sunday's 28-6 win against the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
Not only did Carr suit up one week removed from suffering a concussion and rib and right shoulder injuries, he was playing without wide receiver Rashid Shaheed (thigh), gadget player Taysom Hill (foot/hand) and rookie running back Kendre Miller (ankle). While he failed to reach 200 passing yards for the fifth time in 13 games this season, Carr tossed multiple touchdowns for the fourth occasion, connecting with Chris Olave and Jimmy Graham for short scores (seven and four yards, respectively) in the fourth quarter. Afterward, Carr told Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com that he's "up to three rib fractures" through Week 14, so there's a decent chance he operates with practice restrictions as the Saints prepare for next Sunday's matchup with the Giants.

Carr (ribs/shoulder) is listed as active Sunday against the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
Carr entered the protocol for head injuries for the second time in four weeks when he endured a big hit from Lions pass rusher Bruce Irvin last Sunday. At the same time, Carr suffered injuries to his right shoulder and ribs. While he was able to clear the protocol for head injuries by Friday afternoon, he entered the weekend as questionable before the Saints removed his designation Saturday afternoon. With his status confirmed for Week 14, Carr won't have his usual allotments of skill players available, as wide receiver Rashid Shaheed (thigh) and the do-it-all Taysom Hill (foot/hand) are inactive.

Carr (rib/right shoulder) was upgraded to available Saturday and doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carr cleared the concussion protocol late Friday, but he had listed as questionable on the Saints' final Week 14 injury report after he aggravated a right shoulder injury from earlier in the season and suffered a non-displaced rib cartilage fracture when he took a hard hit from edge rusher Bruce Irvin in last week's loss to the Lions. Though Carr has now been in concussion protocol twice within the past month, the Saints were evidently comfortable enough with his health after he turned in a full practice Friday. The Saints aren't expected to have do-it-all playmaker Taysom Hill (foot/hand) and Rashid Shaheed (thigh) available, but Carr should have top wideout Chris Olave (illness) on the field. That said, with 230.1 passing yards per game and 11 touchdown passes through 12 outings this season, Carr hasn't been anything more than a mid-level fantasy quarterback, and the fact that he's probably not entering Sunday's game at 100 percent health won't help matters.
