Daniel Thomas left Sunday's Week 12 game against the Panthers in the third quarter with an apparent ankle injury. After catching a short pass from Ryan Tannehill, Thomas tried to shed Captain Munnerlyn but got caught from behind. His legs bent under his body and his ankle appeared to turn the wrong way. Thomas had to be helped off the field and threw his helmet in disgust as he arrived at the bench. He had three carries for eight yards and two catches for two yards before leaving. Lamar Miller will be an every-down back as long as Thomas is out.

Daniel Thomas rushed 10 times for 57 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's Week 11 win over the Chargers. Thomas out-touched Lamar Miller 11 to six, and outplayed him as well. Showing good power and tackle-breaking ability, he served as the goal-line back and got full series to himself throughout the game. Over the last five weeks, he's averaging 9.4 carries per game as this backfield takes a hot-hand approach behind a poor offensive line. There won't be any upside in Thomas or Miller against the Panthers in Week 12.

Daniel Thomas (ankle) is listed as probable for Week 11. He'll continue to serve as Lamar Miller's change-of-pace back.

Daniel Thomas (ankle) remained limited in Thursday's practice. There's been no indication that Fumblin' Dan is in danger of missing Sunday's game against the Chargers, but his Friday status will be key. If you're starting Thomas in a fantasy league, it's likely already too late.

Daniel Thomas (ankle) was limited in practice Wednesday. Lamar Miller owners can only hope that Thomas sits out this week. That's unlikely to happen. Thomas will continue to mix in but isn't a fantasy option.

Daniel Thomas rushed for just 38 yards on 12 carries in Thursday night's Week 9 win over the Bengals. He added one catch for four yards on two targets. Thomas was used in a short-yardage and change-of-pace role behind Lamar Miller and got majority of his work late in the second quarter after Miller was briefly benched for fumbling. He was held out of the end-zone for the fifth straight week and remains nothing more than a low-ceiling RB4 in re-draft leagues.

Daniel Thomas rushed nine times for 47 yards and caught a touchdown pass in the Dolphins' Week 8 loss to New England. Thomas started in Week 7. He was Lamar Miller's backup this week, running hard and scoring a five-yard touchdown on a quick inside route. Miller finished with 19 touches compared to Thomas' 10. Thomas continues to be unworthy of a roster spot in 12-team leagues because he's the less-talented half of a timeshare on a team that hasn't made a weekly commitment to the running game.

Daniel Thomas rushed for just one yard on four carries in Monday night's Week 4 loss to the Saints. Thomas was badly outplayed by Lamar Miller for the second week in a row. Thomas was given a carry on third-and-inches on the Dolphins' opening drive -- one in which Miller was gashing the New Orleans defense -- and ended up losing two yards on the play, forcing the Dolphins to settle for a field goal. Thomas also couldn't cash in on a goal-line look later in the contest. Miller scored from five yards away earlier in the game. Miller is head-and-shoulders above Thomas in all aspects of the position, and he should take over clear lead-back duties sooner rather than later. Thomas is on pace to rush for 264 yards and eight touchdowns on 100 carries (2.64 YPC). He's safe to drop.

Daniel Thomas rushed eight times for 14 yards with a touchdown and caught one pass for five yards in Sunday's win over the Browns. Thomas was a spectator for the first two drives of the game. But with starter Lamar Miller unable to generate anything positive, he mixed in for an even share of the snaps the rest of the way. And when the Dolphins found themselves with a first-and-goal from the 1-yard line, they called on Thomas to punch it in. Still, look for Miller to start next week's game against the Colts again and find far more running room, leading to fewer opportunities for Thomas. Sell high now if possible.
