Following the signing of Knowshon Moreno, Dolphins RBs Daniel Thomas and Mike Gillislee are likely competing for one roster spot. We would peg Gillislee as the favorite to keep his job. Thomas has been a colossal disappointment after being drafted in the second-round of the 2011 draft by former GM Jeff Ireland. Gillislee only saw six carries in 2013, but he at least still has the potential to develop into something useful. Thomas' days in Miami are likely coming to a close.

Daniel Thomas (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 17. Thomas played through a questionable tag in last week's loss to Bufalo, gaining all of nine yards on ten touches. The Dolphins would be better off committing to Lamar Miller in a bigger role this week against the Jets, but have shown no indications that it's a likely approach throughout the season.

Thomas got out-touched 16-6 by Lamar Miller, but notched the duo's only score. It was yet another game where the Dolphins seemed to have no real plan for the workload delineation amongst their running backs. Thomas will be a low-ceiling, touchdown-dependent FLEX option for the fantasy finals in Week 16.
