Skuta suffered a concussion during the Bear's preseason contest with the Titans on Sunday, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Skuta will have clear through the league's concussion protocol before he can get back to action. As it stands right now, Skuta figures to function as a special teamer this year and whether or not the concussion will derail his projected outlook remains to be seen.

Skuta signed a one-year contract with the Bears on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Skuta inked a lucrative five-year, $20.5 million deal with the Jaguars back in 2015, but was released last month after posting just 18 tackles in 13 games last season. In joining the Bears, the 31-year-old is reunited with defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, who previously coached Skuta with the 49ers.

Skuta was released by the Jaguars on Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Skuta spent the past two seasons in Jacksonville but dealt with a string of injuries last year that limited his productivity, as he only managed to record 18 tackles and one pass deflection through 13 games in 2016. The drop-off in performance was enough for the Jaguars to sever ties with the once-starting outside linebacker who was slated to make $12.3 million over the next three seasons.

Skuta (elbow) is active Sunday against the Vikings.
EDGE Analysis
After being limited in practice all week, the veteran linebacker will attempt to play through the elbow aliment Sunday. He could see his reps closely monitored, in which case Myles Jack and Sean Porter may see expanded action.

Skuta (elbow) is considered questionable for Sunday's tilt against the Vikings.
EDGE Analysis
Skuta has been limited in practice this week, but the elbow injury he suffered during Week 13's loss to the Broncos may not be severe enough to rule him out for additional time just yet. If he's unable to go, however, Myles Jack and Sean Porter would be in line for additional reps at outside linebacker.

Skuta (elbow) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
Skuta exited Sunday's loss to the Broncos prematurely due to the elbow issue, but may be able to return in Week 14 against the Vikings given his participation in practice at this point in the week. If he's unable to play, however, Sean Porter or Myles Jack would be in line to start at outside linebacker.

EDGE Analysis
Skuta injured his back during practice last week, and was ultimately ruled out for Sunday's loss to the Lions. The issue appears to still be bothersome, so his status for Sunday's matchup against the Bills remains up in the air.
