Browns released TE Dan Gronkowski. Rob's brother, Gronkowski appeared in seven games between the Browns and Patriots last season, but didn't make a catch. He'll be on the list if a team is looking for a fill-in blocking tight end.

Patriots re-signed TE Dan Gronkowski. The older brother of Rob, Dan will act as a strict blocking tight end. At 6'5/255, it's a role he's certainly cut out for.

Patriots released TE Dan Gronkowski. The move leaves New England with one healthy tight end on the active roster, so look for a corresponding tight end pickup before Sunday. Gronkowski played sparingly in the first two games, seeing 27 percent of the Pats' offensive snaps. Beat writers believe Garrett Mills will be signed from the practice squad.

Patriots agreed to terms with TE Dan Gronkowski, formerly of the Broncos. Double Gronk power in New England. Dan is more of a blocking specialist than his phenom brother Rob, managing just eight catches for 65 yards in 12 games last season. Rob is locked in as an every-down tight end with Aaron Hernandez in the "Joker" role. Dan's snaps will be few and far between.

Broncos waived TE Dan Gronkowski. A blocking specialist, Gronkowski hauled in just eight catches for 65 yards in 12 games a season ago. It's looking less and less likely Gronkowski will ever translate his good practices into good games.
