Jenkins will re-sign with the Redskins on Tuesday, Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jenkins was released by the Redskins just two weeks ago, but due to Washington's abysmal performance on the defensive line Monday, the team will now rely on Jenkins to help turn things around. The 13-year vet has more experience than any current member of the Washington front seven. Last season, Jenkins tallied three sacks and 26 combined tackles across all 16 games for the Giants.

Jenkins was released by the Redskins on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
After working out with the team Monday the Redskins opted to sign the veteran defensive tackle. However, Jenkins was unable to make it through the final roster cuts. He was competing with Jerrell Powe and Matthew Ioannidis for a backup role.

Jenkins signed a one-year deal with Washington on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jenkins worked out with the team on Monday morning and impressed enough to land a spot on the roster with just two weeks until the season begins. The signing could mean that Jerrell Powe's heart condition may be more serious than originally thought, as he was expected to miss a week after he was diagnosed with heart arrhythmia at the beginning of August. Jenkins recorded 15 tackles and three sacks last season with the Giants.

Jenkins (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Justin Tasch of the New York Daily News reports. Jenkins' absence is a major blow for the Giants' struggling run defense, especially with Frank Gore, Carlos Hyde and Colin Kaepernick heading into town Sunday. Rookie Jay Bromley could see some action with Jenkins out.

Jenkins sat out practice on Thursday after suffering an apparent setback with his problematic strained calf this week, the Newark Star-Ledger reports. Jenkins played only 18 snaps against the Seahawks due to the same injury, which partially explains why the Giants couldn't stop the run. If he can't go against the Niners, rookie Jay Bromley could see some action.

Jenkins (calf) is active for Sunday's game against the Seahawks. Jenkins will return to the field for the first time since Oct. 19. With just 10 tackles and no sacks this season, he is pretty far off the fantasy radar.

Jenkins (calf) is questionable for Sunday's game against Seattle. Jenkins missed the Giants' game against Indianapolis with the injury, but he might be able to return against Seattle after logging limited practices each day this week.

Jenkins is expected to miss a couple of weeks due to his strained calf, NJ.com reports. Jenkins' injury coincides with the Giants currently on their bye week, but it sounds like the defensive tackle still expects to miss some game action. As a result, Mike Patterson could see increased playing time, while Mathias Kiwanuka is also capable of moving inside in certain defensive packages for the Giants.

Jenkins left the locker room on crutches after suffering a calf injury during Sunday's game against the Cowboys, ESPN New York's Dan Graziano reports. Jenkins will have an MRI on Monday as the Giants head into their bye week. If he ends up missing any games, Mike Patterson will likely replace him in the starting lineup. Jenkins has just 10 tackles (seven solo) in seven games, and he still hasn't recorded a sack this season.

The Giants may move DT Cullen Jenkins to defensive end in 2014. Jenkins has played end before, although only in 3-4 schemes. The Giants run a 4-3 under coordinator Perry Fewell. The move would likely be designed to offset free agent LE Justin Tuck's departure, with Jenkins presumably kicking inside on all passing downs. He's a much better interior pass rusher.
