ESPN New York reports "there is a chance" Giants RG Chris Snee retires. Snee, 32, is coming off October hip surgery and an elbow operation. He just wrapped up his tenth season and may not want to go through another grueling rehab and training camp. However, those close to Snee say he feels good and has yet to decide his future. Snee is a lock to be released by the Giants due to an enormous $11.75 million cap hit but could return on a one-year deal.

The Newark Star-Ledger considers Giants RG Chris Snee a lock to be released. Snee, 32 on Saturday, is set to count a gargantuan $11.75 million against the 2014 salary cap. There's absolutely no way he's coming back at that rate. The G-Men will save $7.25 million against the cap by cutting Snee. He underwent hip and elbow surgery this past season after going on I.R. in early October. The Giants need to overhaul their offensive line this offseason.

Giants placed RG Chris Snee (hip surgery) on injured reserve, ending his season. Snee was a highly effective player up until this season, when his body simply seemed to give out and he fell off a cliff. Owed a whopping $6.95 million salary in 2014, the 31-year-old won't return to the G-Men without a huge pay cut.

Giants RG Chris Snee (hip) and C David Baas (knee) have been ruled out for Week 4 at Kansas City. Although Snee and Baas have struggled this season along with the rest of the Giants' line, it's an ominous sign for Eli Manning, David Wilson, and New York's wideouts in an already difficult matchup on the road at Arrowhead.

Giants RG Chris Snee underwent an MRI on his hip. It's a concern because Snee had hip surgery in the offseason after battling issues with the joint throughout 2012. Along with the rest of the Giants line, Snee has been awful this season. He's already given up three sacks and 10 quarterback hurries in three games. "I think he's got some issues," coach Tom Coughlin said Monday. "We're trying to figure out where that is right now."

Giants RG Chris Snee has restructured his contract. Snee has agreed to convert $2.5 million of his $6.7 million salary into a bonus, which can be pro-rated over the final three years of his contract (2015 is a voidable year). The maneuver clears $1.25 million in cap space for the G-Men. P Steve Weatherford has also agreed to a restructure.

Giants activated RG Chris Snee (hip surgery) from active/PUP. Snee battled through hip pain last season, but didn't miss a game and was ProFootballFocus' No. 13 guard. The four-time Pro Bowler should have more mobility this season.
