He'll head to the open free agent market and could see some interest from a wide receiver needy team.The 26-year-old is coming off a 2015 campaign split between the Rams and Ravens, where he combined to record 20 receptions for 353 yards and one touchdown over 15 games.

CSN Philly suggests that Givens' "downfield speed (is) enticing to (the) Eagles coaching staff," but with just one preseason catch to his credit, time is short for Givens (who compiled a 20/353/1 stat line in 15 games for Baltimore and St. Louis last season) to make a run at a key role in the Philadelphia offense.

With the Eagles holding an open competition behind Jordan Matthews at wideout, Givens received quite a few first-team snaps throughout the offseason and training camp. Regardless, he now seems to be fighting for one of the final roster spots, as Philadelphia's trade for Dorial Green-Beckham added some depth to the position. Even if the Eagles were to keep six wideouts, Givens might miss out on the final roster.

Givens failed to haul in his only target in Thursday's preseason opener against Tampa Bay.

EDGE Analysis

With Jordan Matthews (knee) unavailable, Josh Huff got the starting nod over Givens and Rueben Randle. The three wideouts are competing for slotting behind Matthews and Nelson Agholor, but they combined to catch just three passes for 11 yards in an ugly performance for the Philadelphia passing game. The second and third preseason games should provide a better chance for one or two of the bunch to gain some separation.

Givens adds depth to an Eagles wideout corps that also includes Jordan Matthews, Nelson Agholor and and Josh Huff. Though Givens -- who can also contribute as a kick returner -- recorded a modest total of 20 catches for 353 yards and a TD over 15 games for the Rams and Ravens last season, it's worth noting that the 26-year-old pass-catcher enjoyed his most productive NFL season as a rookie in 2012, while working with former St.Louis and current Philadelphia starting QB, Sam Bradford.

Givens caught 19 passes for 346 yards and a touchdown on 53 targets in 12 games with the Ravens in 2015.

EDGE Analysis

Traded from the Rams to the Ravens for a conditional draft pick in early October, Givens did nothing to suggest that he's a part of the team's future, whereas Kamar Aiken and Jeremy Butler both impressed late in the season. Even if he returns in 2016, Givens will face an uphill battle to earn a roster spot.

Givens was targeted five times, but managed just a 17- yard catch in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs.

EDGE Analysis

With a career yards-per-catch average of over 16.5, Givens' value is based solely around his ability to get deep. From Weeks 7 through 13, Givens wasn't catching many passes, but was gaining chunks of yardage when he did, recording a reception of 20 or more yards in five of six games. With Jimmy Clausen under center, Givens has caught just one pass over the past two weeks. Should the Ravens switch over to the cannon-armed Ryan Mallett to close the season, Givens speed may be put to better use.

Givens wasn't targeted in Sunday's 35-6 loss to the Seahawks.

EDGE Analysis

Givens still played quite a few offensive snaps, but he already had his turn to make an impression, and the Ravens are now evaluating other young wide receivers. Givens may be the best-known name among the bunch, but former UDFAs Jeremy Butler and Daniel Brown have shown more promise.

Givens caught just three of his eight targets for 68 yards in Sunday's loss to Miami.

EDGE Analysis

It was encouraging to see Givens receive eight targets, but the 26-year-old receiver still only has four catches in the two games started by quarterback Matt Schaub. Givens may struggle to find room against the talented Seahawks secondary next week.

Givens caught one pass for 48 yards on three targets in Monday's 33-27 win over the Browns.

EDGE Analysis

Givens took advantage of a coverage breakdown for his lone reception of the game, and he could have had a touchdown if Matt Schaub hadn't underthrown the ball. Though he should continue to get some shots down the field, Givens isn't getting enough targets to warrant consideration outside of very deep formats. He and Jeremy Butler have essentially been Co-No. 2 wideouts the last two games.
