The Florida Times Union would expect the Jaguars to express interest in DE Chris Clemons if he's released by the Seahawks. Clemons is scheduled to count $9.6 million against the cap in Seattle, and "many think" he'll be released. The 32-year-old recorded just 4.5 sacks last season as he battled his way back from a torn ACL. He racked up 33.5 sacks the previous three seasons. The Jaguars need pass rushers and are expected to release DE Jason Babin. Clemons played for coach Gus Bradley in Seattle.

Seahawks DE Chris Clemons is scheduled to count $9.6 million against the 2014 salary cap. According to the Seattle Times, "many think" it's almost a certainty that Clemons won't be back. He'll turn 33 in October and never got right following the ACL tear he sustained in January of 2013. The Seahawks need to keep money free so they can re-sign fellow defensive end Michael Bennett.

Seahawks RE Chris Clemons is in danger of missing Week 7 due to a hyperextended elbow. X-rays were negative -- meaning Clemons doesn't have a long-term injury -- but coach Pete Carroll acknowledged "coming back for next week might be hard." Clemons has been a sub-package player behind Cliff Avril since returning from last year's knee injury. He has two sacks through four appearances.

Coach Pete Carroll confirmed DE Chris Clemons (knee) will make his season debut Sunday versus Jacksonville. Seattle's pass rush is going to be absolutely vicious as long as they keep all of their guys healthy. They're also getting Bruce Irvin back in Week 5.

Seahawks DE Chris Clemons (knee) is not expected to play in Week 2. Clemons fully participated in practice for a second straight day Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday night against the 49ers. "We're just thrilled," coach Pete Carroll said. "Wednesday was the first day, and you could kind of see him knocking off the rust. Friday he was good. So he's going to have a real chance in the next couple weeks to get back and play for us."

Chris Clemons (ACL) is listed as the starting right end on Seattle's Week 2 depth chart. Coach Pete Carroll was noncommittal on Clemon's status Monday, while an injured Cliff Avril was listed on last week's depth chart only not to play, but it's still a step in the right direction. If Clemons gets in a full practice on Wednesday, he'll be in line to return against the 49ers.

Seahawks DE Chris Clemons (knee) has been ruled out for Week 1 against the Panthers. The good news is Clemons will resume practicing Wednesday, suggesting he may make his 2013 debut in Week 2. Clemons tore his left ACL and meniscus in January's playoffs and was activated from the PUP list on August 31. When Clemons returns, he'll likely be used as a situational pass rusher in sub-packages.

Seahawks activated DE Chris Clemons (knee) from the active/PUP list. Clemons is still highly questionable for Week 1, but the Seahawks clearly believe he'll be ready in fewer than six games, which is what reserve/PUP would have cost him. It's excellent news for a Seattle pass rush that's really hurting due to injury and suspension. Clemons has notched at least 11 sacks three straight seasons.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll believes DE Chris Clemons (knee) still has a chance to be ready for Week 1. Clemons is on the PUP list after tearing up his knee (ACL, meniscus) in the Seahawks' Wild Card win over the Redskins, but has been progressing on schedule. Activating Clemons for Week 1 would be an aggressive move, but aggressive moves are the norm under Carroll and GM John Schneider.

Seahawks DE Chris Clemons believes he'll be ready for the regular season opener Sept. 8 at Carolina. Clemons suffered a torn ACL and meniscus in his left knee in the playoffs, and had surgery in January. Most ACL injuries take nine-to-12 months to recover from, and Clemons will only be six-months removed from surgery when training camp starts July 25. It's a positive sign that Clemons appears to be ahead of schedule in his recovery, but we still doubt he'll be cleared to play by Seattle's opener.
