Woodson (shoulder) will retire after this season.
EDGE Analysis
After becoming the only defensive player to win the Heisman Trophy in 1997, Woodson lived up to the hype in the NFL, making eight Pro Bowls, earning four first-team and three second-team All Pro bids, being named Defensive Player of the Year twice, and winning a Super Bowl with the Packers in 2010. While the defensive back is the sole player in NFL history to record 50-plus interceptions (65, to be exact) and at least 20 sacks (20), he's also notched 33 forced fumbles, 16 fumble recoveries, and 13 touchdowns with two games remaining in an 18-year career.

Woodson (shoulder) is listed as active Sunday versus the Chiefs, Bill Williamson of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Woodson sits in a tie for second with five interceptions this season, yet he hasn't picked one off since corralling a Geno Smith pass in Week 8. The drought may continue against Alex Smith, who has thrown 283 consecutive passes without an interception.

Woodson turned in full practices Thursday and Friday to ensure his availability for Sunday's game. The 39-year-old has seen his proficiency as a tackler decline this season with 52 stops across 10 games, but he's already amassed five interceptions, his highest total since collecting seven in 2011 as a member of the Packers.

Woodson (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bears, Bay Area News Group reports.
EDGE Analysis
Woodson -- who has 17 tackles and one pick in three games to date -- played through his shoulder issues last week and we'd expect that to be the case once again Sunday, though to be sure, his IDP owners will still want to verify his status before the Raiders' 1:00 ET kickoff.

Woodson recorded six tackles (four solo) and an interception in Sunday's Week 3 matchup against the Browns.
EDGE Analysis
Woodson has now played in two straight games after dislocating his shoulder in Week 1, and he came up big for the Raiders on Sunday. The 18-year veteran recorded the only interception of the game for either team to help move Oakland to 2-1. Woodson has been a ball hawk his whole career and continues to make plays on a weekly basis.

Despite dislocating his shoulder in the Week 1 opener, Woodson was able to suit up on Sunday and played 81 of the Raiders' 82 defensive snaps in a win over the Ravens, Scott Bair of Comcast SportsNet Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
Many believed after the injury happened last week that Woodson would need to miss multiple weeks and wondered if it would mark the end of his career. However, the 18-year veteran pushed all week to practice and insisted that he could play on Sunday, which is exactly what he did. Woodson finished with four tackles (three solo), and it looks like he'll be active again in Week 3.

Woodson (shoulder) is listed as active Sunday versus the Ravens.
EDGE Analysis
Although Woodson will defy all odds and play one week removed from dislocating his right shoulder, a potentially limited snap count and the risk of aggravation isn't an amenable recipe for IDP success. Taylor Mays is present to scoop up any available reps at strong safety.
