Murray was released by the Rams on Thursday, Brandon George of The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Murray signed with the Rams back in March and was expected to be the team's third option at quarterback behind Jared Goff and Sean Mannion. Murray hasn't seen the field during his first three seasons and will look to catch on as a backup with another club in 2017.

Murray is slated to sign with the Rams on Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Murray has yet to complete a pass in his three-year NFL career, so he is likely being brought on as a reserve option for the Rams at quarterback.

Murray signed with the Eagles' practice squad on Tuesday, Martin Frank of the Delaware News Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Murray was released by the Chiefs before the start of the regular season as they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit. The third-year man won't suit up for games, but could be moved to the active roster at any point, especially considering Carson Wentz and Chase Daniels are the only other quarterbacks on the team.

Murray has been released by the Chiefs, NFL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Murray was reportedly put on the trade block prior to his release Friday and will now be free to sign with any interested team. After the Chiefs signed Nick Foles to replace Chase Daniel as Alex Smith's backup, Murray was thrust into competition with Tyler Bray for Kansas City's final quarterback job. Although Murray ultimately was the odd man out, he should garner calls from teams in need at the position.

The Chiefs have placed Murray on the trading block prior to cuts Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
With multiple teams shopping the backup quarterback market (notably the Cowboys and Vikings), they could do worse than the third-year signal caller. Unfortunately, he didn't have the greatest of showings in the team's preseason finale, going just 10-for-18 for 108 yards while tossing two interceptions. Tyler Bray appears the heavy favorite to earn the third quarterback spot for Kansas City, so the club will attempt to get something for Murray before they need to cut him.

Murray will enter training camp as one of three quarterbacks (along with Tyler Bray and Kevin Hogan) in competition for the backup job.
EDGE Analysis
Murray and Bray both took some reps as the No. 2 quarterback during minicamp, putting the two in position as the favorites for the backup job ahead of the rookie signal-caller (Hogan). It's unlikely Hogan will be given the boot in his first season, making it plausible either Murray or Bray will wind up losing out on a 53-man roster spot after losing the competition.

Murray completed 15-of-20 passes for 146 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Friday's preseason game against the Titans.
EDGE Analysis
While Murray received all of the snaps that Alex Smith didn't Friday, don't read into it too much, as the team is just gearing up Chase Daniel to start the fourth preseason game. However, Murray did perform well when given the opportunity, connecting with wideout Fred Williams on two separate occasions for touchdowns. With Tyler Bray still sidelined, Murray remains the only other option to make the 53-man roster, assuming the club decides to keep three quarterbacks.

Murray has made the team as the third string quarterback, the Kansas City Star reports. Murray was battling Tyler Bray for the third-string quarterback spot, and was handed the spot following the news that Bray was placed on injured reserve. He shouldn't be a factor this season unless the Chiefs go through two quarterbacks.

Chiefs fifth-round QB Aaron Murray (knee) has been a full participant in OTAs. Murray tore his ACL in November but hasn't had any setbacks and is competing in all drills. He's competing with Tyler Bray for the No. 3 job behind Alex Smith and Chase Daniel. Bray has a cannon arm and prototypical size, while Murray has the smarts and plenty of college starting experience.
