Jefferson is expected to sign with the Xinjiang Flying Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association, Jordan Guskey of the Indianapolis Star reports.

Jefferson was recently let go by the Pacers after playing just 36 games in his 14th NBA season. After failing to drum up much interest as a free agent, Jefferson has opted to head overseas where he may have received a more lucrative contract. Despite signing in China, the 6-foot-10 big man could try and latch on with an NBA contender following the completion of his international season, though Jefferson hasn't stated anything quite yet indicating that's his plan.

Jefferson's contract for the upcoming campaign wasn't fully guaranteed, so the Pacers are able to save roughly $6 million by letting him go. The 14-year veteran spent the last two seasons in Indiana, but played just 36 games this past year and averaged 7.0 points and 4.0 rebounds across 13.4 minutes. He should get a look as a veteran mentor elsewhere in the league, though he's highly unlikely to become a viable fantasy option no matter where he lands.

Jefferson scored 10 points (4-11 FG, 2-2 FT) to go with nine rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks in 26 minutes during Saturday's 109-102 loss to Washington.

Receiving his first start of the season, Jefferson responded by coming within a rebound of his second double-double of the season. Limited to 32 games this season, the center has hardly set the world on fire by averaging 7.0 points and 4.0 rebounds this season. However, Jefferson made the most of the collective absence of Domantas Sabonis (ankle) and Myles Turner (ankle) on Saturday. It remains to be seen if either player will return to the lineup in time for Monday's game against the Lakers. If one or neither Sabonis or Turner is active, Jefferson should again see increased playing time.

Jefferson got extended run Thursday against Toronto, as the Pacers were missing Domantas Sabonis (ankle) and Turner suffered his injury. Jefferson played 25 minutes and produced 20 points, 12 boards, two assists, one steal and one block. He should be in line for a similar workload, if not more, Saturday.

Jefferson, who hadn't scored a point since mid-February, got red hot Thursday for 20 points and 12 rebounds, which were both season highs. It also marked his first double-double of the entire season. Jefferson benefited from the absence of Domantas Sabonis (ankle) and Myles Turner (ankle). As long as at least one of those two remains out of the lineup, Jefferson will likely see an increased role.

Jefferson turned in 13 points (6-7 FG, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, two blocks, and one assist in eight minutes during Wednesday's 108-103 win over the Nets.

Jefferson earned the least amount of playing time among the nine Pacers who saw the floor. However, the 33-year-old veteran simply couldn't be stopped during his brief stint on the court, managing his fifth double-digit scoring effort through 29 appearances this season. Moreover, Jefferson has recorded two rejections in each of the last two games. He's making the most of the minutes leftover by starting center Myles Turner and backup Domantas Sabonis, but Jefferson is a shell of his former self at this stage of his career.

Jefferson supplied 10 points (5-9 FG), seven rebounds, one assist and two steals across 19 minutes in Sunday's 120-97 win over the Suns.

EDGE Analysis

The veteran big man has been productive in his last two games, averaging 9.0 points (on 56.3 percent shooting), 5.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals across 17 minutes. Jefferson has seen action in three straight games overall with Myles Turner (elbow) sidelined, but he'd logged DNP-CDs for all but three games since Nov. 12 prior to the current stretch. Consequently, his fantasy value is nearly non-existent whenever Turner is available.

Jefferson contributed 19 points (7-10 FG, 5-5 FT), six rebounds, two assists and one steal across 22 minutes during a 114-97 loss to the Pistons on Wednesday.

EDGE Analysis

Jefferson's 19 points marked a season high as he received an increased workload off the bench. If Domantas Sabonis (calf) misses any more time, Jefferson would continue to be one of the main beneficiaries. If given enough minutes, Jefferson has a good track record of being able to provide points and rebounds. But he likely won't be filling up stat sheets soon, unless the team suffers numerous injuries.

Jefferson registered four points (2-8 FG), eight rebounds, three blocks, two assists, and one steal in 18 minutes during Tuesday's 101-83 win over the Kings.

EDGE Analysis

Jefferson continues to play well off the bench, contributing averages of 7.5 points (50.0 FG, 71.4 FT), 5.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.2 blocks, and 0.7 steals in 16.5 minutes through six appearances. With that being said, Myles Turner (concussion), who has already been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers, is progressing toward his return, and Jefferson did not see the floor in the season opener when Turner poured in 21 points, 14 rebounds, four blocks, and two assists in 34 minutes. Once the Pacers are at full strength, Jefferson is not likely to be much of a factor in fantasy, so enjoy his modest production while it lasts.

Pacers head coach Nate McMillan hinted that Jefferson would likely start at center in Monday's preseason game against the Pistons, Scott Agness of VigilantSports.com reports.

The Pacers will rest four of their regular starters -- including big men Myles Turner and Thaddeus Young -- Monday, paving the way for Jefferson to receive his largest workload of the exhibition schedule after he was limited to a combined 18 minutes over the Pacers' first two preseason tilts. Though the 32-year-old likely won't be on tap for much more than a 15-to-20-minute role once the regular season arrives and Turner is back in the lineup, Jefferson could be an appealing DFS choice for the Monday slate due to the lack of competition for playing time. Even in his limited role last season, Jefferson was still a high-usage player when he was on the floor, averaging 8.1 points to go with 4.2 rebounds in 14.1 minutes per contest.
