Von Wafer has reportedly entered the D-League player pool, and will likely play during the 'D-League Showcase' which begins on Jan. 5. Wafer tried out for the Heat this summer but didn't make the cut. Even if he is eventually picked up by an NBA team, it would take a series of unlikely events for him to emerge with fantasy value.

Von Wafer was one of several players trying out for the Miami Heat. The Dutch Cookie spent last year in China but has drawn interest from NBA teams since last march. He has averaged 5.3 points in 200 career NBA games.

Von Wafer is reportedly drawing interest from NBA teams now that he's returned from his season in China. Wafer, now 27, has been unable to stick in the league since originally being a second-round pick of the Lakers in 2005. He averaged 26.4 points in China, but Eddy Curry also averaged a double-double in the CBA, so those numbers come with a grain of salt.

Former Magic guard Von Wafer has agreed to join China's Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers. He can return to the NBA in February or March, but that is not a guarantee, as he may not have enough interest to find a landing spot that close to the playoffs.

Magic waived G Von Wafer. Wafer was used sparingly this season and will hope to latch on with another club before next season. He averaged 5.9 points over 33 games this season.

Von Wafer played just 12 minutes on Monday against the Sixers. Wafer had just two assists and a steal to his credit, and if you were wondering if he could build off his 16-point, eight-rebound, four-assist night from Friday the answer is no.

Von Wafer scored 16 points off the bench in Friday's blowout loss, scoring 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting (including three treys) with eight rebounds and four assists in 27 minutes. Wafer can fill it up at times and the Magic are going to turn into a small, running team that might get blown out a lot. There's not enough to grab onto to recommend an add in 12-team formats, but Wafer will be worth watching to see if he can build off this effort.

Von Wafer (back) was available to play on Friday but listed as inactive following the game. We're guessing that Wafer was a DNP-CD and we're moving him from the injury report. If we find that he was actually injured, we'll move him back onto the report. In another dimension, this will matter.

Von Wafer returned to action on Thursday March 22.
