Carter is out for rest Wednesday against the 76ers, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carter started and played 28 minutes Tuesday, so coach Lloyd Pierce will opt to keep the veteran on the sidelines on the second half of a back-to-back set. With Taurean Prince (foot) and Alex Len (foot) both questionable, we could see a lot of Justin Anderson, DeAndre' Bembry and Kent Bazemore.

Carter will start Tuesday's game against the Spurs, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
With the Hawks down a significant number of frontcourt players, Carter will make his ninth start of the season. Across his other starts, he's averaging 7.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 20.6 minutes.

Carter produced eight points (3-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt), three assists and two steals over 27 minutes in the Hawks' loss to the Magic on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Carter had a typical stat line in Sunday's performance, though he still played a good allotment of minutes with 27. Carter is only averaging 16.8 minutes per game this season, and his production has been minimal overall with some productive nights mixed in. No longer able to penetrate effectively or get to his spot the way he used to, Carter has relied heavily on the three-ball this season. He's drained at least two three-pointers in all but two of his 24 double-digit scoring efforts this season.

Carter poured in 21 points (7-14 FG, 7-11 3Pt) and collected four rebounds along with an assist and a steal across 26 minutes Monday against Miami.
EDGE Analysis
Carter was impressive from beyond the arc, knocking down a season-best seven treys in a 114-113 loss on the road. After being held to a mere three points in Sunday's matchup with Chicago, he managed to bounce back in a big way. Despite an outstanding performance, Carter is averaging just 6.8 points and 2.5 rebounds through 59 games this season.

Carter had three points (1-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt), three assists, and one steal in 12 minutes during Sunday's 123-118 win over the Bulls.
EDGE Analysis
Carter suffered a bruised knee in Friday's loss to the Bulls but was able to give it a go in Sunday's rematch. The 42-year-old veteran was coming off two straight double-digit scoring performances, but he's not a viable option outside of the deepest formats.

Carter (knee) is available to play in Sunday's game against the Bulls.
EDGE Analysis
Carter suffered a bruised knee in a Friday's marathon game against Chicago, however he will play Sunday. He's averaging 16.3 minutes per game this season, and should continue to see somewhere around that average.

Carter is probable for Sunday's game against the Bulls due to a bruised right knee, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran has emerged from Friday's quadruple-overtime game with a bruised knee. That said, it's likely he ends up taking the court for Sunday's rematch.

Carter dropped 17 points (6-8 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-3 FT), while adding four assists, two rebounds and one block across 27 minutes in Wednesday's 131-123 win over the Timberwolves.
EDGE Analysis
Carter collected a season-high assist total on the night, while hitting 60 percent of his three-point attempts. While Carter won't have these performances every night, he has shown he still has some energy left in the tank to produce on a limited basis.

Fri 2/22/19 11:18 PM

Carter totaled 16 points (5-8 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds and an assist over 16 minutes in the Hawks' loss to the Pistons on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The 21-year vet showed why he still takes the court, producing 16 points in just 16 minutes and draining a trio of threes. He was seen jawing with Blake Griffin shortly before Griffin was ejected in the third quarter, so it's possible Carter had some extra motivation in Friday's game, though nights like this are outliers rather than the norm for Carter these days.
