Young (illness) is out Thursday against the Pistons, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Young is dealing with a non-COVID illness that will force him to miss at least one game. Chris Boucher, Precious Achiuwa and Khem Birch should see increased run Thursday.

Young is questionable for Thursday's matchup against the Pistons due to an illness, Doug Smith of the Toronto Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Young has been a consistent part of the rotation since Valentine's Day, averaging 8.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.0 steals in 19.0 minutes. If he sits out, more minutes could be available for Chris Boucher, Precious Achiuwa and Khem Birch.

Young closed with 11 points (4-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one steal in 23 minutes during Tuesday's 109-108 victory over Brooklyn.
EDGE Analysis
Young led all bench players with 23 minutes in the victory, a sign that he is slowly but surely moving up the pecking order in Toronto. While he is yet to fully embrace his new role, he has been doing just enough to at least be considered in standard leagues for those seeking an efficient, low-volume scorer who can chip in across the board. His exact role remains a little unclear but based on recent events, the streaming appeal feels relatively safe.

Young produced 10 points (4-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-3 FT), two rebounds, three assists and two steals over 22 minutes during Saturday's 127-100 loss to Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
While the Raptors have been blown out by a combined 59 points over their last two games, Young has quietly emerged as a 20-plus-minute player off the bench. He's played at least 21 minutes in three straight games, and his outlook should be boosted by OG Anunoby's (finger) absence, which could span multiple weeks. To date, Young hasn't done quite enough to warrant "must-add" status, but his history of all-around production implies that he could be a solid late-season addition if the minutes are there. A year ago, Young averaged 12.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.6 blocks in 24.3 minutes per game as a member of the Bulls.

Young played 20 minutes off the bench and finished with 10 points (5-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 0-1 FT), five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in Wednesday's 103-91 win over the Timberwolves.
EDGE Analysis
Young didn't make his Raptors debut until garbage time of a 30-point loss to the Pelicans on Monday, but he logged more meaningful minutes in a competitive contest Wednesday. Not only did Young close the game on the court, but he saw around the same amount of run as his main competition in the frontcourt in Chris Boucher (22 minutes), Precious Achiuwa (20 minutes) and Khem Birch (20 minutes). The crowding in the frontcourt makes it difficult to rely on any of those four players on a game-by-game basis, though Boucher and Young probably offer the most fantasy upside of that quartet.

Young finished with four points (2-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), four rebounds, one assist and one steal across 12 minutes Monday in the Raptors' 120-90 loss to the Pelicans.
EDGE Analysis
After not playing Saturday in the Raptors' one-point loss to the Nuggets, Young got the chance to play Monday in his second game with Toronto, but not until the outcome of the contest was already decided. While Young put up quality numbers in his garbage-time minutes, the fact that he's behind all of Pascal Siakam, Scottie Barnes, Chris Boucher, Precious Achiuwa and Khem Birch in the frontcourt rotation at the moment will make it tough for Young to earn a consistent role.

Young is expected to be available for Saturday's contest against the Nuggets, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's not clear what sort of role Young will play, but almost anything is better than the 26 appearances he made with the Spurs -- 16 of which occurred before December. He'll be competing for reserve minutes at forward and backup center with Yuta Watanabe, Chris Boucher, Khem Birch and others.

Young was traded to the Raptors on Thursday, along with Drew Eubanks and a 2022 second-round pick, in exchange for Goran Dragic and a protected 2022 first-round pick, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Young arrived in San Antonio over the summer as part of the DeMar DeRozan trade with Chicago, but he was never truly a part of Gregg Popovich's regular rotation. The veteran appeared in only 26 games, logging a career-low 14.3 minutes per contest. Chances are, he'll be given more regular opportunities to contribute in Toronto, but he joins a crowded frontcourt rotation. Unless the Raptors offload a player or two before the deadline, fantasy expectations for Young should be tempered.

Young closed Thursday's 112-95 loss to the Heat with seven points (3-4 FG, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and two steals in 24 minutes.
EDGE Analysis
Young was called upon to inherit additional load while Jakob Poetlt is in concussion protocol, resulting in his most paying time since mid-November. Young was solid but made a very muted impact. Nonetheless, he can be viewed as a streaming option in deeper leagues until Poeltl returns.

Young will start Thursday's game against the Heat.
EDGE Analysis
With Jakob Poeltl (concussion) and Jock Landale (concussion) out, Young will surprisingly make his first start of the year over Drew Eubanks. Young has appeared in just three games since Dec. 17. Overall, he's averaging 6.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 13.9 minutes.
