Young notched 15 points (6-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, one assist and three steals across 34 minutes during Saturday's 118-104 loss to Indiana.
EDGE Analysis
Young moved into the starting lineup Saturday, and he took full advantage by delivering his best game of the season. He has now played at least 27 minutes in two of the past three games, indicating that a meaningful role could be his for the taking. As long as the Raptors are down on troops, Young is worth a look just in case he can string together a few strong performances.

Young will enter the starting lineup for Saturday's contest against the Pacers, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Young replaces rookie Christian Koloko in the starting lineup as the Raptors opt for a more experienced lineup of Scottie Barnes, Gary Trent, OG Anunoby and Otto Porter with Fred VanVleet (illness) out. Considering VanVleet's absence, Young could receive a larger role within the Raptors offense and may even be tasked with minor ballhandling duties.

Young posted four points (2-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), eight rebounds, two assists and one steal over 16 minutes during Sunday's 113-104 win over the Bulls.
EDGE Analysis
After playing just 17 minutes over Toronto's previous six games -- including three DNPs -- Young amassed a season-high 16 minutes Sunday. Four of his eight rebounds came off the offensive glass. The good performance brought up his season averages to 2.6 points and 2.1 rebounds in 8.5 minutes per game.

Young did not play in Toronto's 139-109 victory over Atlanta on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Young picked up his third DNP-CD of the season Monday, a puzzling development after the 34-year-old resigned with Toronto in the offseason. On a deep, forward-rich Raptors' squad, Young appears to have fallen out of favor. It's a subtle storyline moving forward.

Young had four points (2-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), eight rebounds, one assist and one steal in 19 minutes during Friday's 137-134 victory over Boston.
EDGE Analysis
Young signed a two-year contract with the Raptors during the offseason, a strange move in the eyes of many. The team certainly has a plethora of options in the frontcourt, meaning Young is unlikely to play more than about 18 minutes per night. While he has very little chance of putting up fantasy-relevant numbers, he is a name to tuck away should a larger role open up at some point.

Young (knee) recorded two assists and one rebound across five minutes during Sunday's preseason game against the Jazz.
EDGE Analysis
Young reportedly bumped his knee in practice last week, but the fact that he could still log some minutes in Sunday's preseason opener confirms that the issue was minor. As long as he avoids a setback, Young's minutes should continue to increase as the preseason progresses.

Young is considered day-to-day with a knee injury, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Young bumped his knee in practice. It does not sound like anything too problematic at the moment, but his progress is worth monitoring as camp progresses. The veteran projects as a source of depth in the Raptors' frontcourt this season.

Young and the Raptors agreed to terms Thursday on a two-year, $16 million contract, Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Young's deal also includes performance incentives, so he'll remain with the Raptors for 2022-23 after joining the team via trade in February. He remains somewhat buried on the depth chart behind the likes of Pascal Siakam, Scottie Barnes and Khem Birch, but he should retain a role in the Raptors' rotation after averaging 6.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 16.3 minutes per contest with the Spurs and Raptors in 2021-22.

Young ended with 13 points (6-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 0-2 FT), five rebounds, five assists, one block and three steals in 30 minutes during Saturday's 110-102 win over the 76ers.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran forward hadn't played more than eight minutes in any of the first three games in the series, but with the Raptors in a 3-0 hole, coach Nick Nurse gave Young plenty of run and he responded. After this performance, it seems likely the 33-year-old will have a significant role again in Game 5 on Monday.

Young (thumb) will play in Game 2 on Monday against Philadelphia, Michael Grange of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Young's status for the second game of the series was in question due to a hyperextended left thumb, an injury that occurred during Game 1. However, he's been given the green light and will be ready to go off the bench. Young played a limited role Saturday, logging six minutes and one rebound in the loss.
