Christon was waived by the Thunder on Saturday, Erik Horne of the Oklahoman reports.
EDGE Analysis
Christon's $1.3 million salary was set to be guaranteed on Sunday, so the Thunder opted to let him go after a uneventful preseason. They also let go of fellow point guard Isaiah Canaan, which leaves Raymond Felton to take on the backup role behind Russell Westbrook. Superstar additions Carmelo Anthony and Paul George are also more than capable of doing some ball handling, so the Thunder didn't have a huge need for a third point guard. Christon could receive interest elsewhere on a team in need of depth in the backcourt, though if he fails to find a suitor, he could start the season in the G-League or overseas.

Christon will be inactive for Friday's Game 3 against the Rockets for an undiclosed reason, Royce Young of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Christon his minutes cut in half from 14 in Game 1 to just seven in Game 2. Given the current situation in the series, Russell Westbrook figures to play a heavy dose of minutes at point guard with Victor Oladipo handling those Duties when Westbrook receives a breather. Christon's status is uncertain going forward.

Christon will return to the bench for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets.
EDGE Analysis
Christon drew the start on Tuesday against the Timberwolves with Russell Westbrook getting the night off for rest, posting just two points, three rebounds and six assists across 30 minutes. The Thunder are opting to play Westbrook in the season finale, however, so Christon should head back to the bench in the corresponding move. Westbrook could see his minutes limited a bit, which could boost Christon's playing time once again, but he still doesn't have much upside in terms of his DFS value for Wednesday's DFS slate.

Christon started at point guard and finished with two points (1-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), six assists, three rebounds and one steal across 30 minutes in a 100-98 win over the Timberwolves on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Heading into the night, Christon looked like he could be in store for a banner game as the floor general for the Thunder with Russell Westbrook (rest) out, but he still ended up playing his normal complementary role, as shooting guard Victor Oladipo assumed the bulk of the scoring and distributing duties. Christon didn't help his cause by failing to convert on the few shot attempts he did receive, and his ugly shooting will continue to hinder his fantasy outlook, both in the short and long term. The rookie has knocked down only 34.2 percent of his attempts from the field and 18 percent of his attempts from three-point range on the season.

Christon will start at point guard for Tuesday's game against the Timberwolves, Erik Horne of The Oklahoman reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Thunder are resting Russell Westbrook ahead of their upcoming playoff run, which allows Christon to enter the starting lineup in his place. In 62 games as a reserve, Christon has averaged just 2.8 points, 1.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists across 14.9 minutes, but his first opportunity to work with the top unit should potentially provide him a chance to log a 30-plus minute workload. Christon could have to share the extra playing time with Norris Cole as well.

Christon provided zero points (0-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and one steal across 10 minutes in a 126-121 loss to the Trail Blazers on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
With Russell Westbrook rolling to a career-best 58-point performance, there wasn't much playing time to go around for the team's backup guards, but coach Billy Donovan managed to find room for both Christon and Norris Cole (six minutes) in the rotation. Cole has been seeing most of the available minutes behind Westbrook since signing with the team earlier this month, but the playing-time distribution Tuesday suggests that Christon hasn't quite been phased out of the rotation just yet.

Christon scored four points (2-5 FG, 0-2 FT) to go with two rebounds in 11 minutes during Monday's 120-98 loss to the Wizards.
EDGE Analysis
Christon picked up some run in the second half when the Thunder were on the wrong end of a blowout, but it was only his second appearance in the last six games. He's behind Russell Westbrook and Cameron Payne in the pecking order at point guard, which means Christon will be excluded from the rotation in most contests.

Christon was recalled from the D-League's Oklahoma City Blue on Friday, Brett Dawson of The Oklahoman reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Enes Kanter diagnosed Thursday with a fractured forearm that is expected to keep him sidelined for six-to-eight weeks, he'll likely occupy an inactive spot in games for the next several games, which may allow either Christon or Josh Huestis to dress in future contests. In any case, neither player is likely to reenter coach Billy Donovan's rotation, so the duo could very well be sent back to the D-League in short order if the Thunder decide they're fine with playing only 12 active players most nights. Christon hasn't made an NBA appearance since Jan. 5.

Christon was assigned to the Oklahoma City Blue of the D-League on Thursday, Brett Dawson of the Oklahoman reports.
EDGE Analysis
Christon has fallen completely out of the Thunder's rotation now that regular backup point guard Cameron Payne is back playing at full strength. He'll likely continue to fluctuate between the two leagues this season, using the D-League to consistently get some more in-game experience.

Christon was recalled from the D-League on Saturday, Erik Horne of The Oklahoman reports.
EDGE Analysis
Christon has appeared in three games for the Oklahoma City Blue, averaging 18.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and assists per game. The Xavier product was a part of the Thunder's rotation earlier in the season, but he hasn't appeared in an NBA game since Jan. 5.
