Rip Hamilton said on Thursday that "there are opportunities for me... but I'm waiting for the right situation." Hamilton also expressed his desire to play one more season in the NBA, saying "I think for me, personally, I have to see how my body responds after the summer. I want to play another year and hopefully get an opportunity to play on a team with a chance to win a title." Hamilton last played in the 2012-2013 season, where he averaged 9.8 points in 50 games played. It is unknown whether these opportunities will ever materialize for Hamilton, but he is clearly off fantasy radars moving forward.

Rip Hamilton has reportedly been contacted by at least seven teams, but he's not expected to sign with a team until the "midway point of the season." He shot just 42.9 percent from the field in 50 games with the Bulls last season. At this stage of his career he's a dubious fantasy option no matter where he lands.

The Timberwolves are reportedly working the phones trying to sign a wing player and one name that has surfaced is Rip Hamilton, according to Darren Wolfson. Hamilton isn't likely to offer much fantasy value regardless of where he ends up, but he could be a nice piece for the young Wolves.

Richard Hamilton tweeted Saturday morning that he has "several choices" in free agency. The Bulls waived Hamilton a little over a week ago in a widely-expected move. There was in Chicago for Hamilton considering the presence of Jimmy Butler and the addition of Mike Dunleavy. Hamilton didn't specify which teams he was choosing between, but we're not surprised there are a couple squads willing to give the 35-year old a shot.

Bulls waive G/F Richard Hamilton. He had virtually no chance to remain on the team. The Bulls have already brought on Mike Dunleavy, and Jimmy Butler was one of the most improved players in the second half of last season. Hamilton's minutes dropped to just 21.8 per game last season, which is a far cry from his career average of 32.1. A few teams should be willing to give the 35-year-old guard a shot on a short-term contract.

The Bulls will waive Richard Hamilton before July 10, making him an unrestricted free agent.

The Bulls are again unsuccessfully shopping Richard Hamilton. Hamilton has a $5 million commitment next season, but the Bulls can buy him out for $1 million if done before July 10, a likely scenario considering Hamilton's stock around the league. He's dealt with serious injury issues during his Bulls tenure and seems likely to be playing elsewhere next year.

The Bulls are expected to buy out the final year of Richard Hamilton's contract for $1 million, according to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune. Chicago's other option is a $5 million salary in 2013-14 for a 35-year old who earned DNP-CDs in all but four of the Bulls' playoff games. It's not a surprise which way the Bulls are leaning. Mark this one in the category of the best scenario for both sides. Hamilton will try to find a job as a veteran shooter off the bench while the Bulls will look for some more consistency from perimeter, possibly in the form of free agent Kyle Korver.

Richard Hamilton reiterated that he was "dumbfounded" by his lack of playing time in the playoffs. Hamilton played 35.5 minutes in Game 5 on Wednesday and 22 minutes in Game 4, but he saw just 10 minutes combined prior to those two games in the postseason. "They kept me positive," Hamilton said. Referring specifically to Game 5, Hamilton said "it's crazy because playing 19 straight minutes, I haven't done that all season. Playing in the fourth quarter, I haven't done that all season." Expect the Bulls to buy him out for $1 million rather than picking up his $5 million option for next year.

Richard Hamilton reiterated that his health is fine, and the decision to drop him out of the rotation was Tom Thibodeau's. "A lot of stuff in life you don't understand. This is what I was brought here for. To not play and not help my teammates is rough," he said. "I try to stay positive and not rock the boat." Hamilton had 11 points and four assists in 22 minutes in the Game 4 blowout loss.
