He saw action in six games for the duration of his stint with New Orleans and managed averages of just 4.5 points and 1.0 rebound across 13.2 minutes per contest. He's expected to rejoin the Oklahoma City Blue of the D-League with the hope of getting another shot from a different organization.

The veteran wing has made just one appearance with the Pelicans in his second stint with the club this season and is an expendable piece with all of Hollis Thompson, Solomon Hill, E'Twaun Moore, Dante Cunningham and the newly-signed Jordan Crawford ahead of him on the depth chart.

Perhaps Williams' shooting skills from distance -- he owns a career 36.7 percent mark from three-point range -- will continue to earn him run off the Pelicans' bench, but don't bank on him turning in many repeat performances.
