World Peace isn't expected to be back with the Lakers next season, Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
As was the plan since he was signed, World Peace spent the majority of his time with the Lakers as a veteran mentor, seeing action in only 25 games, while averaging just 2.3 points across 6.4 minutes. There's been plenty of talks regarding the fact that World Peace will go into coaching following his playing career, although a final decision on retirement has yet to be made at this point. World Peace remains one of the longest-tenured players in the NBA, with 17 years of experience and would likely find a very small market in a similar role as a veteran mentor if he opted to try and come back for another season with a different team.

World Peace started at small forward and scored a team-leading 18 points (7-17 FG, 4-10 3Pt) to go with four rebounds, four steals and one assist across 25 minutes in a 108-96 win over the Pelicans on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
With D'Angelo Russell (personal) away from the team, coach Luke Walton opted to roll with World Peace in a starting role rather than one of the team's younger options. It was likely just a measure to give the 37-year-old a final sendoff in what was perhaps his final career game at Staples Center, and World Peace certainly delivered. After failing to score in the first half, World Peace poured in all 18 of his points after the break to give the Lakers their fifth straight win. World Peace figures to play in Wednesday's season finale against the Warriors, but probably will see his minutes fall back into the teens in the road matchup.

World Peace is expected to start in Tuesday's game against the Pelicans, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
D'Angelo Russell is away from the team for a personal matter, so coach Luke Walton is expected to start World Peace, who could be playing his final game at the Staples Center. In his only other start this season, World Peace logged just 12 minutes, so despite working with the top unit, he may not be the most intriguing DFS play Tuesday. World Peace will likely share the extra minutes with Tyler Ennis, Jordan Clarkson and David Nwaba.

World Peace (coach's decision) was inactive for Tuesday's 122-111 loss to the Mavericks.
EDGE Analysis
World Peace hasn't played since Feb. 6, and with the team now at full health, it's unlikely he'll receive any opportunities to even dress for games in the near future. The 37-year-old will continue to bring most of his value to the team during practices and in the locker room.

World Peace (coach's decision) was inactive for Thursday's 116-108 loss to the Wizards.
EDGE Analysis
World Peace has been limited to one one-minute appearance over the Lakers' last eight games, and now that the roster is back to full strength, he'll likely be a fixture on the inactive list. The 37-year-old's main value at this stage of his career will come as a mentor to the team's younger players.

World Peace (coach's decision) was inactive for Thursday's 134-94 loss to the Spurs.
EDGE Analysis
The Lakers decided to guarantee World Peace's one-year contract for the rest of the season earlier this week, but the added security won't result in an enhanced role for the veteran. He's likely to remain inactive in most games when no more than one player is out with an injury.

World Peace will return to a bench role for Wednesday's game against the Rockets, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
World Peace got the spot start for Monday's tilt with the Jazz, but the Lakers will once again shake up their guard rotation, pushing Jordan Clarkson and Marcelo Huertas into the starting five, with Brandon Ingram and World Peace coming off the bench. World Peace saw just 12 minutes in his start Monday and doesn't expect to see a big bump in playing time Wednesday, so he can still be avoided in the the majority of fantasy leagues.

World Peace will get a spot start at point guard for Monday's matchup against the Jazz, Serena Winters of Lakers Nation reports.
EDGE Analysis
Yes, you read that correctly. World Peace will get his first start of the season at point guard. The Lakers are without D'Angelo Russell and Jose Calderon, so it is currently slim pickings in the backcourt. The expectation was that Jordan Clarkson would get the start, but he has been struggling to produce while getting a lot of extra run due to the aforementioned injuries. Both Clarkson and Lou Williams will presumably get most of the work in the backcourt as the game progresses. World Peace has played in seven games this season, with a season high 14 minutes on Nov. 23 in a blow out loss to the Warriors.

World Peace (coach's decision) didn't see the floor in Sunday's 109-94 win over the Hawks.
EDGE Analysis
The 37-year-old was able to claim a roster spot for the Lakers out of training camp, but as expected, he's acted mostly as a positive presence in the locker room for the young squad. He's only appeared in six games this season while averaging a career-low 4.8 minutes per contest.

World Peace has made the Lakers' 15-man roster, ESPN's Marc Stein reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Lakers officially waived Anthony Brown on Monday, meaning both World Peace and Thomas Robinson will remain on the roster as the 14th and 15th men, respectively. The veteran is not expected to be a major factor in 2016-17 after spending last season in China, and the Lakers reportedly even toyed with the idea of transitioning World Peace into an assistant coaching role.
