Allen (knee) is questionable for Wednesday's tilt with the Cavaliers.
EDGE Analysis
Allen continues to deal with soreness in his right knee that sidelined him for Monday's loss to the Spurs. Look for more updates to come during either Wednesday morning shootaround or pregame warmups. Thaddeus Young (wrist) has already been ruled out of the contest, leaving Kevin Seraphin to once again receive increased minutes, regardless of Allen's status.

Allen is dealing with a sore right knee and has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Spurs, Scott Agness of VigilantSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allen has started the last five games for the ailing Thad Young (wrist) and with Young expected to sit out through the All-Star break, the Pacers are going to be extremely thin in the frontcourt. Without Allen, Kevin Seraphin is next in line on the power forward depth chart, but they could opt to shift Al Jefferson over to the position and go with a bigger lineup. On the other hand, they also could move Paul George to power forward to go with a smaller lineup and then insert a guy like Glenn Robinson into the top unit at the other forward position. We should see clarification as tip-off approaches.

Allen scored 18 points (8-15 FG, 2-2 FT) while adding 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block in 32 minutes during Saturday's 105-84 win over the Pistons.
EDGE Analysis
Getting the start at power forward in place of the injured Thaddeus Young (wrist), Allen celebrated his 28th birthday by recording his first double-double of the season. Young may not be out for long, but if he also misses Monday's home game against the Thunder, Allen could be worth a look as a DFS play.

Allen will start at power forward Saturday against the Pistons.
EDGE Analysis
A sprained wrist will keep Thaddeus Young on the sideline Saturday, so Allen will have an opportunity to make his first start of the season. The 28-year-old is averaging just 1.8 points and 2.3 rebounds per game on the season, and he remains a low-upside fantasy commodity, even in the absence of Young.

Allen produced six points (1-2 FG, 4-4 FT), one rebound and one assist across 19 minutes in a 98-88 win over the Magic on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Allen had been out of coach Frank Vogel's rotation since late December, but has since taken advantage of Kevin Seraphin's recent absence due to a knee injury to reenter the fray. The reserve big man has logged double-digit minutes in each of the last four contests as the primary backup to starting power forward Thaddeus Young, but is averaging only 5.5 points and 3.0 rebounds per game during that stretch. Though his role is on the upswing, he still remains off the fantasy radar in virtually every format.

Allen played three minutes in a 140-112 loss to the Nuggets on Thursday, recording one assist and one foul.
EDGE Analysis
Even with the Pacers trailing big in the fourth quarter, Allen was unable to scratch out any meaningful playing time, illustrating just how microscopic his role has become under new coach Nate McMillan after he was a rotation staple when Frank Vogel was patrolling the sideline. Allen hasn't played more than 11 minutes in a game since Nov. 30, and doesn't appear as though he's made any progress in his attempt to displace either Al Jefferson or Kevin Seraphin as the Pacers' third or fourth big man.

Allen played three minutes in Sunday's 111-102 win over the Clippers, handing out two assists.
EDGE Analysis
Allen has appeared in every game this season for the Pacers, but with season highs of six points, eight rebounds and three assists, it's been exceedingly difficult to mine any fantasy utility from him. With the Pacers returning three players from injury Sunday in Paul George (ankle), C.J. Miles (knee) and Kevin Seraphin (knee), Allen's opportunities to make an impact may become even more scarce.

Allen scored 12 points (4-6 FG, 4-4 FT) and added 11 rebounds and one assist across 24 minutes in Wednesday's 101-83 preseason win over the Bucks.
EDGE Analysis
With Pacers coach Nate McMillan already indicating that he'll open the regular season with a nine-man rotation that likely won't include Allen, it's necessary for the 27-year-old to turn in a big preseason and force McMillan to expand his rotation. While he was able to make a positive impression Wednesday, Allen was mostly mediocre in his preceding three appearances, so he's still fighting an uphill battle to see consistent minutes when the regular season begins.

Pacers coach Nate McMillan said at Monday's media day that he would prefer to utilize a nine- or 10-man rotation this season, which may not include Allen, Scott Agness of Viligant Sports reports. "[Allen's] got to make me play him," McMillan said.
EDGE Analysis
A favorite of former coach Frank Vogel for his strong defensive effort at both frontcourt spots, Allen appeared in 79 games last season and averaged 5.4 points and 5.4 rebounds in 20.2 minutes per game. However, with McMillan taking over and the Pacers adding Thaddeus Young and Al Jefferson this offseason to a frontcourt that includes up-and-coming center Myles Turner, it doesn't look as though many opportunities will be available for Allen. The 27-year-old could be relegated to mop-up duty at the end of non-competitive games or as a fill-in option when Young, Jefferson or Turner succumb to an injury or foul trouble.

Allen played only one minute in Tuesday's 102-99 Game 5 loss to the Raptors, accruing one rebound and one assist.
EDGE Analysis
Allen has come off the bench the last two games, playing only four total minutes. With coach Frank Vogel apparently comfortable with handing Myles Turner elevated minutes as his starting power forward and using small-ball lineups featuring Turner at center when Ian Mahinmi rests, it doesn't look like there will be much of an opportunity for Allen to pick up playing time.
