Calderon has agreed to terms on a one-year, $2.3 million contract with the Cavaliers, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Calderon split the 2016-17 campaign between the Lakers and Hawks, finishing with averages of 3.4 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists across 13.1 minutes per contest between the two. He wasn't much of a contributor in fantasy leagues and that isn't expected to change with his latest move to the Cavaliers, as Calderon will likely be fighting with Kay Felder for just spot minutes off the bench behind superstar Kyrie Irving at point guard.

Calderon will be in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game, Chris Vivlamore of the AJC reports.

Calderon will start in place of Dennis Schroder who will take the night off due to rest. While he's likely to play the majority of the game, Calderon hasn't posted great numbers much of the season. Over his last 76 minutes, the 35-year-old has tallied just 19 points, 12 boards and 14 assists. He should only be considered in the deepest of leagues Wednesday.

Calderon will return to the bench for Sunday's tilt with the Cavaliers, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.

Calderon drew the spot start on Friday against the Cavaliers, finishing with seven points, four rebounds and seven assists across 25 minutes. However, with Dennis Schroder (foot) healthy and rejoining the starting five, Calderon heads back to the bench, which likely takes him off the fantasy radar in the majority of leagues.

Calderon enters Atlanta's starting five after Dennis Schroder (foot) was a late scratch Friday. While Calderon is dubbed the team's starter, Malcolm Delaney could end up playing more minutes. Nonetheless, the Spaniard could very well top his usually minuscule production in an improved role Friday.

Calderon went for 14 points (4-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-5 FT), three rebounds and one assist over 19 minutes in Saturday's 107-90 win over the Grizzlies.

The 12-year veteran has seen his minutes bump up after each of the last two games as he's been increasingly incorporated into the rotation following his arrival from the Lakers at the end of February. Saturday's output was by far Calderon's best in a Hawks uniform, as he'd gone scoreless and notched two points in the two previous contests in which he was active. Despite his advanced age, Calderon might represent fresh legs for the stretch run for coach Mike Budenholzer, as he was out of the Lakers' rotation altogether for a notable portion of the season prior to the trade.

Calderon will be in uniform for Sunday's game against the Pacers, but isn't expected to play outside of an emergency situation, Chris Vivalmore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Mike Dunleavy (ankle) and Ryan Kelly (coach's decision) will be the Hawks' two inactives, but since Calderon hasn't had an opportunity to practice with his new team after being claimed off waivers Saturday, it's likely that Atlanta will go with Dennis Schroder and Malcolm Delaney as their point guards. Even once he has a chance to gain some familiarity with his new team, Calderon may not be able to displace Delaney as Schroder's top backup, potentially leaving him outside of the rotation most games. It appears the 35-year-old may only act as an insurance option at point guard in the event of an injury to either Schroder or Delaney.

As a result, Calderon hit waivers, and he'll now join the Hawks on a contract that will likely span the remainder of the season. At 35 years old, Calderon's best years are in the rear-view, but he's lauded as a strong veteran presence and is a career 41.1 percent shooter from beyond the arc. Expect Calderon to serve as Atlanta's third point guard, likely seeing most of his minutes in garbage time situations. Per Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Calderon is expected to be in uniform Sunday against Indiana.

Calderon was waived by the Lakers earlier in the week after falling out of the rotation in early December. He was then signed and immediately waived by the Warriors, as the team needed to use his intended roster spot to sign Matt Barnes in light of Kevin Durant's injury. The veteran point guard is still eligible to play in the playoffs and should find a spot in the Hawks' rotation behind starter Dennis Schroder. He'll have to compete with current backup Malcolm Delaney for minutes, but the veteran's experience could give him an edge. With no place in the rebuilding Lakers' plans and the desire to join a contending club, Calderon requested his release from Los Angeles last week, and the two sides were able to move towards a buyout once it became known the league-best Warriors were interested in bringing him in to fill their vacant roster spot. However, after All-Star Kevin Durant suffered a hyperextended left knee in Tuesday's loss to the Wizards that could threaten his availability for the rest of the season, adding depth at forward suddenly became more of a priority for the Warriors, who will now forgo signing Calderon and instead bring in veteran Matt Barnes to slot in as the 15th man on the roster. Because the Lakers had already waived Calderon on Monday, the Warriors decided to honor their earlier agreement with the point guard, so he'll still earn what he would have received for the rest of the season before becoming an unrestricted free agent.

The writing has been on the wall for a while, as 35-year-old has not been a part of the Lakers' regular rotation for the better part of the last three months. Calderon, who has appeared in 24 games this season, is widely expected to sign with the Warriors, who have an open spot on their roster after parting ways with 10-day signee Briante Weber. Calderon is not likely to be a major factor for Golden State, but he'll bring veteran depth to the point guard position in the event of an injury down the stretch.
