Farmar was waived by the Kings on Monday, Eric Pincus of Basketball Insiders reports.
EDGE Analysis
Farmar was initially waived by Sacramento on Oct. 24, only to be re-signed a week later as a temporary fill-in while Darren Collison finished out his eight-game suspension. With Collison set to return Tuesday, the veteran Farmar will be waived to free up a roster spot and will look to catch on with another team before perhaps seeking a contract overseas.

Farmar will sign with the Kings on Wednesday, Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Darren Collison still suspended for the next three games, the Kings are allowed to add an additional player to their roster for the time being. Farmar, who spent training camp with the Kings on a non-guaranteed deal, has familiarity with the club and will join the team as another veteran bench option to provide help in the backcourt. That said, as soon as Collison is removed from the suspended list, we could see Farmar back on the free agent market again, so this could be a short stay for the 29-year-old point guard.

Farmar was waived by the Kings on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran joined the Kings on a training camp deal and never stood much of a chance to make the final roster. While he's a 10-year NBA veteran, Farmar has had a difficult time finding a permanent home, having played for the Grizzlies, Clippers and Lakers for parts of the last three seasons. Still just 29 years old, Farmar may be able to latch on with another team, but he may ultimately be forced to explore his options overseas.

Farmar posted 14 points (5-8 FG, 4-5 3Pt), five assists, a rebound, a steal and a block across 18 minutes in Thursday's 116-104 preseason victory over the Lakers.
EDGE Analysis
Farmar bounced back from getting shut out in Monday's contest against Israeli team Maccabi Haifi to post his best scoring total among the three preseason games he's played in. The 29-year-old is trying to parlay his relationship with new head coach Dave Joerger into a roster spot for the coming season, and given his ability to provide some solid shooting off the bench, could carve out a modest allotment of minutes behind fellow vets Darren Collison and Ty Lawson.

Farmar agreed to a contract Tuesday with the Kings, international basketball writer David Pick reports.
EDGE Analysis
The details surrounding Farmar's contract aren't available, but the veteran's deal likely isn't guaranteed. Farmar will battle rookie Isaiah Cousins for the third-string role at point guard behind Darren Collison and Ty Lawson, and could have the upper hand for that role due to his familiarity with coach Dave Joerger, who he played for in Memphis last season. Farmar logged 12 games for the injury-riddled Grizzlies, averaging 9.2 points (on 42% shooting), 3.1 assists, 2.1 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.3 three-pointers across 24.3 minutes per contest.

Farmar compiled eight points (3-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two assists, two steals, and one rebound in 31 minutes during the Grizzlies' 94-68 loss to the Spurs on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Farmar committed three turnovers, but he climbed up over 30 minutes for the first time since Apr. 5. Farmar had not seen more than 26 minutes in any of the last five games, which bodes well for his prospects of producing decent stats in Friday's Game 3. The Spurs' defense has been a dominant force all season, but Farmar will face the least resistance given that Tony Parker is among San Antonio's weakest individual defenders. With that being said, Farmar is only advisable as a cheap option with minor upside against such an intimidating opponent.

Farmar finished with 15 points (6-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four assists, two rebounds, and one steal in 31 minutes during the Grizzlies' 108-92 win against the Bulls on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Farmar has scored in double figures during three of the last four games, and he is locked in as the Grizzlies' starting point guard with Mike Conley (Achilles) unlikely to return this season even if the team makes the playoffs. In eight appearances during 2015-16, Farmar is averaging 10.4 points, 3.4 assists to 1.4 turnovers, 1.6 rebounds, 1.4 threes, and 1.4 steals in 25 minutes. If he continues to see sufficient minutes, Farmar might worth a look as a cheap option in daily leagues for Friday's matchup versus the Mavericks.

Farmar was signed for the remainder of the season by the Grizzlies on Thursday, Ronald Tillery of the Commercial Appeal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Farmar was originally called up in mid-March on a 10-day contract, but he's proven worthy to the Grizzlies and will continue to play a role in the backcourt for the rest of the season. In five games so far with Memphis, he has averaged 10.8 points, 3.6 assists, 1.8 rebounds, and 26 minutes per game.

Farmar finished with 11 points (4-7 FG,1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five assists, three steals, and two rebounds in 23 minutes during the Grizzlies' 110-104 loss to the Spurs on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Farmar drew the start on Friday while Ray McCallum shifted to the bench. Farmar committed two turnovers, but he played fairly well in his first start with the Grizzlies. Through three games since joining the team, he is averaging 10.3 points, 3.7 assists to 1.7 turnovers, two rebounds, and two steals in 26 minutes, and Mike Conley (Achilles) won't be re-evaluated until the end of the regular season.

Farmar will draw the start Friday against the Spurs, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News reports.
EDGE Analysis
It was originally reported that Ray McCallum would get the start, but shortly before tip-off Farmar was announced as the starter. This is Farmar's third game with the Grizzlies after signing with them due to a string of injuries. He is averaging 10.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.5 assists, and 2.0 triples in 27 minutes per game.
