Leuer announced Sunday via his personal Instagram account that he has retired from professional basketball.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old noted in his post that he's contended with a number of injuries over the past three years, including two that sidelined him throughout the 2019-20 season after he was waived in July shortly after Milwaukee acquired him from Detroit. After taking some time to evaluate his future, Leuer determined it was best to step away from the game rather than attempting a comeback. He'll wrap up an eight-year NBA career with averages of 6.4 points and 3.8 rebounds in 15.8 minutes per game over 377 regular-season appearances between the Bucks, Cavaliers, Grizzlies, Suns and Pistons.

Leuer was waived by Milwaukee on Tuesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Leuer was acquired by the Bucks in mid-June in a trade that sent Tony Snell and the 30th pick of the 2019 NBA Draft to the Pistons, but he never received an opportunity to take the court with Milwaukee. Leuer averaged 3.8 points and 2.4 rebounds over 41 games a season ago with Detroit.

Leuer was traded to Milwaukee on Wednesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Leuer was sent to Milwaukee in exchange for Tony Snell and the 30th pick in the 2019 draft. The veteran forward had a disappointing 2018-19 season as he struggled to find a consistent role in the Pistons' frontcourt, seeing his averages drop to a mere 3.8 points and 2.4 rebounds in 9.8 minutes per game over 41 appearances. He'll likely struggle to find time in a crowded Bucks frontcourt even with Brook Lopez and Nikola Mirotic set to hit free agency in July.

Leuer will start Monday's game against the Cavaliers in place of Blake Griffin (rest), Keith Langlois of Pistons.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Leuer hasn't played a second in any of the last three games, and he wasn't even active for a matchup with the Lakers on Friday, but he'll move into the lineup alongside Andre Drummond up front. The Wisconsin product has appeared in only five games since the start of February.

Leuer is inactive for Friday's game against the Lakers, Rod Beard of The Detroit News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Leuer has played in just two of Detroit's previous nine games, so it's unsurprising that he's listed as inactive.

Leuer (knee) appears to have returned to health after he was left off the injury report prior to Friday's game against Chicago.
EDGE Analysis
Leuer hasn't taken the court since Feb. 23, but he's no longer on the injury report, which is a good sign. Given his role in the rotation, he may not see much playing time even after getting the green light.

Leuer is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves due to a right knee injury.
EDGE Analysis
Leuer is dealing with some fluid build-up in his knee, and the Pistons will wait until closer to game-time to see if the situation improves. Either way, Leuer hasn't been a regular part of the rotation, and he can be ignored for fantasy purposes.

Leuer won't be active for Monday's game against Washington, Rod Beard of the Detroit News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Not too many fantasy ramifications here, but it looks as though the Pistons' moves at the deadline won't do much to help Leuer, who's been on the outside looking in for most of the year. Down the stretch, Detroit will continue to lean heavily on Andre Drummond and Blake Griffin, and it looks as though Thon Maker could have the edge over Leuer off the bench. Glenn Robinson III will also be inactive Monday.

Leuer (illness) has been upgraded to probable for Saturday's tilt with the Kings, Vincent Ellis of the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Leuer has missed the past two games with an illness, but looks to be ready to return to the lineup Saturday. Assuming he's able to play, the veteran forward should slot back into his normal role that's seen him average 4.4 points and 2.7 rebounds in 11.1 minutes per game on the season.

Leuer is listed as out for Friday's game against the Heat due to an illness.
EDGE Analysis
The specifics of Leuer's illness are unknown at this time, but his absence shouldn't have too large of an impact on the team's rotation. Stanley Johnson or Zaza Pachulia could see more run in the frontcourt with Leuer out, however.
