Hamed Haddadi recently worked out for the Pelicans, according to ESPN's Jared Zwerling. The Knicks had shown some interest in Haddadi, but they can only offer a minimum contract and his workouts with another team suggest he may be headed elsewhere.

Free agent C Hamed Haddadi is meeting with the Knicks Friday. Haddadi got the first significant playing time of his career last season, averaging 13.8 minutes a night in 17 late-season appearances for the Suns. He responded with averages of 4.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.2 blocks. The Knicks can use a minimum contract as deep insurance behind starting center Tyson Chandler.

Hamed Haddadi was named MVP of the FIBA Asia tournament on Sunday after leading Iran to the championship. A Knicks scout watched one of Iran's victories and suggested that New York may consider Haddadi as a minimum-contract addition to their roster. Whether or not he lands and NBA contract, he's not a fantasy asset.

The Knicks may work out free agent C Hamed Haddadi in New York. Knicks scout Gary Boyson watched Haddadi and the Iranian national team romp past Jordan, saying afterward, "It's no secret there are players here with NBA experience who have no contracts yet. We have a spot or two probably." Haddadi seemed to hurt his right leg during the game but he said afterward that he's fine. The Knicks might give him a minimum contract but he won't be on fantasy radars.

Suns waive C Hamed Haddadi. The move will allow the Suns to pay him $200K instead of guaranteeing a $1.4 million salary for next season. The Suns drafted center Alex Len out of Maryland and Haddadi wouldn't have been very useful behind Marcin Gortat -- another player that could be on his way out. Haddadi might have a tough time cracking any NBA rotation.

Hamed Haddadi admitted that he's still not in basketball shape. "I've got to do more running, more stuff," he said. "I need a couple more games to get in better shape." It's understandable considering Haddadi has suddenly played an important role for the Suns, but his run could be coming to an end with Jermaine O'Neal (personal) set to return on Wednesday.

Hamed Haddadi scored a career-high 13 points on 4-of-7 shooting (5-of-5 FTs) with eight rebounds, one steal and two blocks in 18 minutes off the bench on Monday against the Nuggets. Haddadi has shown he can put up serviceable numbers when given the minutes and it's entirely possible he gets minutes with just injury prone Jermaine O'Neal available as a real big man for the Suns. Owners needing a big man in standard formats can consider an add, and if he does it again with O'Neal back on Wednesday then he'll become a recommended pickup.

Hamed Haddadi played a career-high 28 minutes off the Suns' bench on Saturday, scoring six points with 11 rebounds, one steal and three blocks. Haddadi's energy and rebounding was a huge reason the Suns beat the Rockets tonight, even if he did miss all four of his free throws. He's likely to play substantial minutes as long as Marcin Gortat (foot) and Jermaine O'Neal (personal) are unavailable, but we'd only recommend him as a blocks specialist in deep leagues.

Hamed Haddadi will be active against the Raptors on Wednesday. The Suns are going to need all the help they can get at center with Jermaine O'Neal (personal) out of the lineup. Luis Scola and Markieff Morris should also pick up some minutes at center, so there's no reason to pick up Haddadi in any league.

Hamed Haddadi is not in basketball shape after never reporting to the Raptors when he was traded as part of the Rudy Gay trade. Haddadi, now with the Suns, will need some time before he's back into game shape. However, he does appear happy to be in Phoenix now. "there are a lot of Persians in Phoenix, and I got a lot of messages that they support me," he said.
