Raptors Sign Garrett Temple rotoballer.com Mon 7/31/23 2:00 PM

Free-agent forward Garrett Temple has agreed to a one-year, $3.2 million deal with the Toronto Raptors. The 37-year-old was recently waived by the New Orleans Pelicans after spending each of the last two seasons with them. The veteran forward has been bounced around the league throughout his career. He doesn't exactly offer much fantasy value at this point in his career. He's a decent defender that can contribute off the bench, but his presence probably won't result in fantasy value.

Garrett Temple Waived By The Pelicans rotoballer.com Wed 7/5/23 6:20 PM

New Orleans Pelicans guard Garrett Temple is getting waived ahead of the July 7 deadline, according to Michael Scotto of USA Today. The 13-year veteran was a deep reserve for the team and only appeared in 25 games last season. Since he was owed $5.4 million if kept past the deadline, the team decided to waive him and save the money. He already wasn't relevant in any fantasy format, however, if he signs with a competitive team in need of shooting off of the bench, Temple could find some use in ...

Garrett Temple Not Ready To Retire rotoballer.com Sat 4/15/23 6:50 AM

New Orleans Pelicans guard/forward Garrett Temple played a very marginal role this season and will turn 37 in May, but he is still planning to continue his NBA career and wants to stay in New Orleans. The Louisiana-born veteran averaged only 6.5 minutes across 25 games with the Pelicans this season. It was his second year with the club after Temple had represented 10 different teams in his first 11 seasons in the league. Temple averaged a career-high 10.3 points and 3.5 rebounds just a few ...

Garrett Temple Comes Off The Injury Report rotoballer.com Thu 11/10/22 7:10 PM

New Orleans Pelicans guard/forward Garrett Temple (personal) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Thursday's matchup against Portland. He hasn't played at all this month whilst dealing with a personal issue. In fact, Temple has made just two appearances this season, playing a total of 21 minutes, so he's a non-factor in fantasy hoops. But it's good to know that he is game-ready again following a lengthy absence.

Garrett Temple Starting On Tuesday rotoballer.com Tue 12/28/21 7:56 PM

New Orleans Pelicans guard Garrett Temple will slide into the starting five for Tuesday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Brandon Ingram (Achilles) remains out of the lineup, which leads to another start for Temple. He dropped 22 points during the loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday. There is some low-end streaming appeal and Temple could be a low cost DFS option. It's uncertain how long Ingram will be sidelined, so Temple could have some short term appeal.

Garrett Temple Likely To Sit Friday rotoballer.com Thu 10/28/21 8:33 PM

New Orleans Pelicans guard/forward Garrett Temple (ankle) is doubtful to play Friday against the Sacramento Kings. Temple left in the first half of Wednesday's game against the Atlanta Hawks with an ankle sprain and did not return after 9 minutes of play. Temple has been averaging about 15 minutes off the bench this season and would likely see those minutes go to Trey Murphy III. Naji Marshall will likely also see extra run, but neither are recommended fantasy options outside of very deep ...

Garrett Temple Expected To Remain Unavailable Monday rotoballer.com Mon 4/12/21 8:24 PM

Chicago Bulls shooting guard/small forward Garrett Temple (hamstring) is on track to miss his eighth consecutive contest Monday versus Memphis. Head coach Billy Donovan noted that while Temple was still questionable, he had a difficult time seeing how he could be cleared to rejoin the mix. Temple has played a combined 24 minutes since March 12, so once he does return, he'll likely remain on a minutes cap until he can acclimate to game speed. Troy Brown Jr. can be expected to continue seeing ...

Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine (ankle) is considered questionable to play on Wednesday against the Suns. Forward Garrett Temple (hamstring) is doubtful. LaVine appeared to tweak his sprained ankle during Monday's game- and indicated after the contest that he might have to sit out a game. Temple strained his right hamstring during the contest and is unlikely to suit up against the Suns. LaVine's absence would open up a significant chunk of scoring and playmaking opportunities in the Bulls' ...

Garrett Temple Misses Tuesday's Practice rotoballer.com Tue 3/30/21 7:28 PM

Chicago Bulls guard Garrett Temple (hamstring) was unable to suit up for Tuesday's practice. He only played two minutes on Monday before coming out of the game due to hamstring tightness. The fact he didn't suit up for practice means he'll probably miss a game or two. His absence will give a slight boost to Troy Brown and Patrick Williams. Both are more appealing options than Temple anyway.

Chicago Bulls shooting guard/small forward Garrett Temple (ankle) is not listed on the team's latest injury report, an indication that he will return to action Wednesday versus Cleveland. Temple has missed the team's last six games due to an ankle injury, with his return likely to aid the Bulls in terms of wing depth. Having come off of the bench in his two most recent appearances, Temple likely won't become an immediate DFS contributor, although his return figures to slice into the workload of...
